The hotel was ok. Quite small rooms, but all the necessities are there. Except: no toilet brush, no kettle or complimentary tray in the room. The elevators did not work from time to time. Staff is very welcoming, very friendly, very helpful. Area though is not great. Dirty!!! But rooms have amazing views. And it was quite easy to get... More

Pro's: Our stay was very comfortable. At our arrival, the room was decent and perfectly clean. Furthermore, a good English speaking French girl welcomed us. This was pleasant, since my French is not that good. The other staff members were also friendly. Con's: We had a room on the 7th floor at the back of the building, where they were... More

Was there the full week during the time of the attacks, attending a 6,000 person conference across the canal, in the park. Fortunately, the terrorists didn't know this!!?? That was too long in this hotel considering the tiny room, the fact this is a couples only hotel unless you want to rent multiple rooms, It's a10-15 minute walk to the... More

I found this Ibis Hotel very comfortable and the bed was very soft. The room was adequate and the walk in shower in the bathroom was very good and worked well. The breakfasts were beautiful with plenty of breads, cheese and ham and w were really spoilt for choice. This wasn't th easiest of hotels to find and the coach... More

Spent 6 nights here on business. A busy hotel which is clean and functional. The room was OK, a bit small but the bathroom was way too cramped. Imposible to use the toilet easily due to the shape of the room and the shower doors are dificult to close without opening the room bedroom door. Bedroom had no amenities except... More

Once you find the hotel the first time as you lead off the main street and walk three blocks to the canal you'll find the property well kept, front desk staff were attentive and the rooms decently sized. I also enjoyed the fact that this hotel was in a paris neighbourhood and not a tourist area. It gave you a... More

I stayed here for a night on business and thought the hotel was clean and quiet. Good points were the staff were lovely, the lifts were quick, there was free WiFi, my room was quiet and i had a desk space and stand for my suitcase which was useful. I had the ibis burger and breakfast in the restaurant which... More

Staying in La Villette

Neighborhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the center.
