We stayed one night in their triple bed, mid week. Beds were really comfortable. Everything was clean. The bath was big enough to float in. Right opposite the metro in the centre of Montparnasse. A lively place but we heard no noise in the room. Good value for Paris.

Stayed here for one night as a stopover. Decent room, well fitted out, a little dated but more than adequate for a couple. Free WiFi, a few English TV channels, my favourite thing was the automated window blinds....very welcome! Location was excellent, smack bang next to a metro station and regular buses. Breakfast was disappointing though, we would return there... More

We stayed here in October of 2013. It's a pretty building, nice staff. Good location Okay, space is at a premium in Paris I get that, but our tiny room cost us about $350 per night. The occupants of the room downstairs kept complaining about the noise from our room The only activiity we could think of that might have... More

Location is perfect, as indicated in the other reviews. Hub for all the useful train lines, near just the kind of shops and cafes you need when traveling. Metro station close, handy when carrying a jet lagged toddler back to the room. Service great. Friendly, patient, English speaking, local knowledge. Room quiet, but when you open the windows you're reminded... More

The location of this hotel is excellent if you are planning to visit all the tourist areas via Metro or the RER which is the regional rail. In fact the RER station was opposite the hotel and the metro was just a block away which took 2 minutes to reach. Also there are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. There... More

From the outside the hotel looks uninviting as did the lobby. But the bedroom was a surprise . . . very clean, well appointed and larger than expected. There are bakeries and restaurants within a minutes walk and the neighborhood is quiet but the value just isn't there. Amenities are limited and the front desk staff (with the exception of... More

For those not familiar with Paris this hotel is about a 15 minute cab ride to the Louvre/Eiffel tower, so if central location is critical to you , it might not be the hotel for you. However if value for money is - this place is terrific ( as Paris hotels can be expensive ) However the location here is... More

The hotel was chosen because of its location, as well as from all parts of the city easily accessible by public transport. There we were able to relax very easily after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is not asked for, but a nice bakery nearby, we found where we drank coffee at very good and we had breakfast. The area... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
