This is a business traveler hotel at best. The rooms are very average as is the lobby, bar and restaurant. It is about 2 blocks from my local office which is pretty much the only reason i stay here. That being said it meets all of my needs and i have nothing to say negative about. Still, just average though.

I had big expectation for my stay at the Marriott Rive Gauche, but they didn't meet them. The check-in was terribly slow, I had to wait 40 minutes (although they knew a group of 20 arrived). They were also rude to a colleague who had no international card and for whom a specific arrangement had been made - it seems... More

Minuses: - Very slow check in. Waited 15 mins for only 1 person at reception, then suddenly 2 more receptionists showed up when the line was very long. Took 20 mins to check in. - No complementary water bottles in room, and very expensive to buy in kiosk on ground floor - Hardly no water pressure in shower (15th floor).... More

I stayed two nights in the hotel for business recently. Staff was very friendly. Room was in great shape; clean and up to date amenities. I visited the in hotel restaurant both nights. Excellent menu choices and very good service both nights.

As a multiple returning Customer we were again thrilled of the personal Service of Helene and her Lounge Team, both Frederiks at Breakfast/Barand their Team as well as the nice Black Lady at the Egg/Omelet Station. Good location within walking distance of Luxembourg Gardens and Isle de la Cite Make sure you get room with a view as it is a high building affording commanding views. High security at the moment is necessary and re-assuring. Staff at reception and on concierge desk were very good with a can do attitude. Only criticism is that Internet is... More

Just stayed here for several days while on a trip to Paris. The area is nice, very close to the Metro and RER train. Direct train from CDG is 10 euro and you get off a 4-5 minute walk away. Direct metro line to all the attractions: Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triopmphe, and Champs Elysses and others. Uber from CDG... More

My parents took their 30th Wedding Anniversary at Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center. I emailed the concierge service team (mainly Carl-Philipp Kunerth and Morgan Fornes) the day before my parents were to arrive. I wanted to a bottle of champagne and flowers to be in their room when they arrived. They quickly sent me options and prices.... More

We stayed two times here because it was the least expensive Marriott property in Paris proper. We were so glad that we did. It is right on metro line six between St Jacques and Glaciere Stations so we could reach anywhere in a very short amount of time. The Executive lounge boasts some of the best food that an executive... More

It was the first time I was back in the hotel since it has switched from PLM Saint Jacques to now Marriott Rives Gauche. The decoration on a classy contemporary mode is perfect, the atmosphere quite and serene, and the staff perfect. I consider that this hotel deserves to be more advertised as plenty of others claim to do so... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
