I'd absolutely recommend this if you're looking for a no-frills, moderately priced hotel in an extremely convenient location. The clientele couldn't have been more accommodating; the metro is 1/2 block away; it's in Montmarte with plenty of sight-seeing options and restaurants nearby.

Nice and handy for Gare du Nord, but also in a very pleasant location away from traffic.
