Hotel : Southwest of Gare Du Nord. Less than 10mins walk from Gare Du Nord. Nearest metro is Poissonniere. Buffet breakfast is decent with the usual cereal, ham, bread, coffee and tea. Room : Small sized. Queen-sized bed with enough walking space. Our room has a balcony which overlook the apartment across the street. Balcony is also connected to the... More

Feel a bit unsure about this review as we made so little use of the hotel facilities. Arrived at hotel in late afternoon and really pleased about how close it was to Gare de Nord. Even considering we came out of the wrong side of the station, the hotel was only 10 -15 minutes walk from the station. When we... More

Within walking distance from Gare du Nord but closer to a subway station. The rooms are typical old French - some spots creak, doors are heavy and old, etc. Breakfast spread is not bad, breads, juice, etc cold stuff. Actually went to two other du Pre hotels before finding the correct one. Apparently there are 4 hotels du Pre same... More

I'm conscious that as an Aussie traveller my expectations of a hotel room should adjust when in Europe. This place had a couple of eccentricity's about it. The lift is indeed tiny, certainly not for the claustrophobic! The bathroom wasn't a great deal bigger! It represented a very clever optimization of a very small space, however everything functioned. Despite booking... More

I didn't know what to expect from this hotel when my uncle booked it, after looking at the reviews. I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. The closest underground station is Cadet and the hotel is just a few blocks away. The beds were a little hard but I like them that way. I had a street-facing room on... More

Suitable location, walking distance to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est, as well as to Montmartre area. Our room was decent size and it seemed clean. Walls were quite thin but that's how it is with old buildings. The lift was really small, but there are stairs too. The service was friendly. We did not try the breakfast buffet... More

The staff is very very forthcoming, wanting to help in any way they can at all times, beyond the call of their job description. Its only a very short walk to Rue Lafayette, with its shops, bars and restaurants, and public transportation is all around. The room we had was large and clean, with the bathroom quite big with a... Everything was great! Good location (next to the subway - 1 block). The staff was very helpfull, We don't speak french, and they helped us even to by medicine! The breakfast was great too. (The only thing to complain is that there isn't plastic courtains in the bathroom, so after the shower the floor got wet everytime!)

After much scanning the web for best location and good price for 5 nights in Paris we came across this little hotel on Trivago. It's a fairly basic hotel and would compare the rooms with Travelodge in the UK, but no kettle and probably smaller in size. We had double room, the bed had sheets and was reasonably comfortable, extra... More
