We stayed in the Caravelle Hotel for a long weekend in Paris. It has very nice staff, extremely friendly person on the reception desk. The complete hotel has a very outdated feeling (especially the fish tanks), but it is clean and the price for a 4 bed room was correct and hotel as free Wifi. We did not eat breakfast,... More

We came to the hotel without a booking and the staff was extremely nice and even gave us some discount on the room for two nights. The room was fairly spacious and quiet, everything was clean. It was great having so many nice cafes and shops just around the corner, the metro station is also very close. It was a... More

Very well located (walking distance from Sacre-Coeur, Montmartre,...). If you come by car, there's a large parking at Place d'Anvers (just a 5 min walk away). Rooms are small, but clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. Good wifi connection. We had 2 rooms at street side of the hotel. A bit noisy when the dustmen arrive early morning, otherwise... More

Close to Paris Underground (about 1,5 minutes walk away), relatively close to Gare du Nord (about 16 minutes walk away) , close to Place Pigalle (about a minute away) , close to a supermarket (about half a minute away) and close to a huge array of restaurants, boulangeries, bistrots etc. Staff has been extremely helpful, rooms are spotless and well... This hotel is within walking distance from the train station and some great Montmartre eateries. The staff members are very friendly. Breakfast was basic yet delicious. The only thing I did not like is the very small elevator that fits only two people (or one person with luggage).

My frist trip to Paris, my friend and I happened upon this hotel via the Internet and with a day's notice booked a room. The location was perfect because it's about a block or 2 away from the metro and buses; and cabs are everywhere. The Lourve and the Notre Dame Cathedral were 15 to 20 minutes away via train.... nice hotel, nice staff, good location! room clean and quiet! I'll be back for sure! Few minutes far from le sacré-coeur! many pubs and restaurants close by, many sexy shops but never had any kind of problem! it's a few minutes far from the metro and you can easily reach every part of the city!

I found this hotel on the internet. 70€. Very good price. It is next to Pigales et but Montmartes, Moulin Rouge. I would not recommend it for a "romantic" trip but it is very well situated and the staff is very friendly. Toilet in the room is quite loud, with a continued noise of air flow (the system recycling the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
