Firstly id like to say..if you pay for peanuts you would expect luxury. The staff are amazingly helpful and speak english fluently. Always happy and very welcoming. The room we stayed in was very small but hey we paid next to nothing for it so we wasnt going to complain. It was always kept clean and tidy for our return... More

We had a very poor experience at this hotel! We were given a room on the 6th floor, yet the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor, so we had to get our luggage up a flight of stairs, which was no easy feat. The room was tiny and resembled an attic. The wall was probably 2 meters from... More

I am not usually one to complain, and I usually make the most of wherever we go, however this hotel really was the worst I have ever stayed in. Our room was tiny-there was less than a foot between the edge of the bed and a single-paned glass door through to a sheer drop, and it made moving around the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights, and after reading some of the reviews were ready for disappointment. After our stay we were quite happy with the hotel. It is clean and has everything you need. Staff are very friendly and the closest metro is only a 2 minute walk, and then a 10-15 minute train ride to... More

We stayed here a while ago now,but still think about here often. The positives (start with them, because there a a few) are that it is in exceptionally good proximity to Pigalle metro (which takes you to the centre of Paris in a heartbeat) and the beautiful area of Montmarte (to me,this is the true Paris, and why it is famous for it's... Victor Masse, although situated in the red light area of Paris, is quite safe. I stayed here with my wife in December 2013 for 4 days. The staff is very very friendly and go out of their way to gel you out. The room size is terribly small. My bathroom is bigger than their room and I am not exaggerating.... More

I have never in all my travels been so dissapointed and disgusted by a hotel. We were recommended this hotel by STA travel Australia. If they try to recommended this hotel to you, be aware that there are MUCH BETTER hotels in MUCH SAFER areas for the SAME COST. The hotel is smack bang in the middle of Paris's red... More

The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to Montmartre (5 mins walk), Moulin Rouge and subways to all other attractions to Paris. The room itself is small and it does look a little outdated, however we had a comfortable sleep every night and received excellent service, in particular from Jean the night shift staff member (loves a good chat!!... Very unhappy clients. The owner has never heard of karma or an act of selflessness. Renovations with jackhammers next to our room in middle of season. Cement silt all over bedding. Gave us single room as double. Top floor room was full of lice and fleas. Breakfast consists of bread. No intention to help or make stay comfortable. Only consolation:... More

Advertised as newly renovated. However this was only the bathroom.. the bedrooms were drab and mission brown.. they were clean, but not very inviting.. close to attractions, but there are many in area to choose from.. staff were o.k , but not willing to go out of their way for you.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
