My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Victor Masse for 2 nights on the May bank holiday weekend. The hotel was in a very central location, near to Pigalle metro station, moulin rouge and many restaurants and bars. The room was small, but had everything required for a 2 night stay, lovely shower room and cleaned daily. As per... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay. We found the hotel to be clean and very smart. All the staff we're very helpful which helped to make our stay more enjoyable. The hotel is in a side street with lots of bars and cafés nearby. Although it is pretty close to the red light district, this was never... More

My partner and I stayed here for a short break, my first trip to paris. We stayed in room 306 and it was very nice. It was clean and modern, it was a bit on the small side but comfortable because if you are going to paris, you're not going to sit in a hotel room but going for this... More

If your looking for a simple and basic place to stay, this hotel is good. It's nothing fancy and the rooms are small, but you have to be happy with that, given the price. Breakfast is fresh and simple, croissants and other baked treats, cereal and tea/coffee. Bathrooms are clean. We had a beautiful terrace style window in our room... More

3 adults stayed here. It is in an ideal location for the Metro Pigalle, only 8 stops on one line to L'Arc De Triumphe. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast basic but very fresh and the bread was delicious. The lift is antiquated but working. Only 3 people at a time or 2 with cases. The room... More

Great location, very central hotel near pigalle, very safe place to walk after dinner. Many shops and restaurants near by. It's no luxury, but the rooms are fine, as well as the breakfast. The metro is just two blocks away.

During my travels to Paris we always choose this hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, but for a night in a typical environment under Montmartre is ideal. The rooms are very small and very simply furnished, but clean. Room cleaning is daily. Wi-fi is available. Breakfast simple but good for strength for wandering around Paris. Excellent location near Pigalle,... More

Firstly id like to say..if you pay for peanuts you would expect luxury. The staff are amazingly helpful and speak english fluently. Always happy and very welcoming. The room we stayed in was very small but hey we paid next to nothing for it so we wasnt going to complain. It was always kept clean and tidy for our return... More

We had a very poor experience at this hotel! We were given a room on the 6th floor, yet the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor, so we had to get our luggage up a flight of stairs, which was no easy feat. The room was tiny and resembled an attic. The wall was probably 2 meters from... More

I am not usually one to complain, and I usually make the most of wherever we go, however this hotel really was the worst I have ever stayed in. Our room was tiny-there was less than a foot between the edge of the bed and a single-paned glass door through to a sheer drop, and it made moving around the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
