The hotel was horrible, the reception area is a mess at the moment with renovation going on. The staff was very unpleasant and not helpful at all. They didnt make the extra effort for the residents. I had asked for a superior room in my booking but got a tiny room. When we asked to change, he said i should... More

I stayed here for work for a total of six nights. My Chanel shoes were stolen out of my room. I told the front desk about this and they did nothing about it! They didn't even offer a single accommodation or apologize. To make matters worse, the smell of the room was awful and the picture of the rooms make... More

This hotel is situated in a good location which near 2 metro stations and within 10 minutes walk to Galleries Lafayette. Many dining outlets and supermarket nearby hotel. The room is too small but it's well decorated with nice renovated bathroom. Wifi worked well during my stay.

Stayed here during a work trip. Hotel was very well positioned in a relation to Gare Du Nord ( I walked to the hotel from the station ~15-20 mins). Plenty of bakeries, restaurants and small supermarkets near by. Walking distance to Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores. I had booked a standard room, but I guess I was given an... Wasn't expecting the greatest when booking the hotel. And when walking down from the metro early morning was expecting the worse. However found it was a great location with many shops, restaurants and accessible metro stations in the vasinity. Hotel currently having refurbishments so when first walking in makes you think it's not going to be great. However was welcomed... More

Me and my friend stayed here for three nights this August and found it to be quite pleasant. The hotel lobby doesn't appear to be 'renovated' yet as the room was, and certainly the loo near the lobby is slightly worrying in condition! However, the staff are very polite, helpful and speak very good English. When we got up to... More

A very nice newly renovated hotel, really a great value for money. Rooms are very clean and cosy, everything works well (air conditioning, fast free wifi, nespresso coffee machine, good sound isolation). Shower is super clean. Rooms are rather small, but not tiny, and it's usual in Paris. Staff are friendly and speak English. Room service comes after 1pm, so they... More

The desk staff was excellent and as friendly and helpful as one could hope for. Our room had been updated and included nice furnishings and a very nice large shower. Good bed and excellent reading lights. Air conditioner worked perfectly. The lobby needs work. Poor paint job and lots of repairs showing. Really sets a seedy first impression and drags... More

Dear Tim, Thank you for this nice review. Indeed, all our rooms are now renovated and newly refurbished! Yes, we are fortunate to enjoy an exceptional location in the heart of Paris: On a quiet street, but very close to the main Parisian attractions. I only accurate, dear Tim, that the renovation of the Lobby will be made in few... More

I had read some quite negative reviews about this hotel about the interior, however perhaps it has been refurbished because on my stay (June 2014) the room was absolutely stunning! Beautiful stone shower room with a separate w/c, spacious with luscious red and white interior! I was utterly impressed, and the people on the desk were so friendly! I think... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your very nice review. We are really pleased that you find our new rooms, as you said, « Stunning »! And based on our daily guests comments, I might say: They are!…. …. In fact, the Hôtel Opera Drouot, was completely refurbished, and has nothing more to do with previous guest’s comments and pictures. All... More

The hotel is in a excellent location just off Boulevard Haussman, with many supermarkets, patisseries, restaurants on the door step. It is about 20 minutes walk from Gare du Nord, and 10 minutes from Galleries Layette with two metro stations about 5 mins away. If you enjoy walking around the city, this is a great choice as it's not too... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
