Myself and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel a week after christmas. We checked out the reviews before we went and i honestly wasn't expecting what we got. Somebody complained about the breakfast room which was lovely (like an old cellar with wrought iron chairs and tables). Our bedroom was clean and also the bathroom. We had a balcony that... more

The rooms look NOTHING like the rooms on the website. Ours was so unacceptable that we did not stay there. Within 5 minutes of checking in, we left and asked for our money back, but they had already charged our card and would not refund any money. We ended up having to look for another hotel and paying for 2... more

The service is just bad. Their internet website does not work and losses apparently the bookings. The cleanliness of the rooms is questionable. more

I was relocated to this hotel after having a problem with my original booking. It was a last minute arrangement so I couldn't complain so my comments are probably generous compared to my attitude if I chose this place myself. The hotel is located close to the red light district, and have several metro stations close by giving easy access... more

I booked this hotel at an excellent rate via an international hotel website and was slightly apprehensive when I read other reviews. We stayed here for 4 nights in December and were given two lovely rooms on the first floor as requested (my wife doesn't like lifts). Both rooms were very clean and quite spacious for this type of hotel.... more

I spent the xmas break in Paris and stayed at the blackstone opera hotel. I must say the reviews about it on this site dont do it ANY justice...maybe the reviews were a while ago and the hotel improved...but the only valid comment is the small elevator, other than that i found none of the negative points mentioned. It is... more

Don't stay here if you are trying to impress your girlfriend, I made that mistake! As stated before I found out the photos displayed on Expedia were 10 years old from the receptionist. The fun started with the tiny comedy lift which i've got to admit had the pair of us laughing! The room itself was quite bizarre. It wasn't... more

My sister and I went to Paris and stayed at the Blackston for two reasons: price and location. As for the price, compared to other European hotel deals, you get what you payed for. The rooms are small, like most hotels in Paris. The mattress has lumps and holes that can ruin more sensitive people´s backs. The towels and sheets... more

Good: staff, location, breakfast, front lobby. Bad: torn wall paper, scrappy towels, ill-fitting doors and worst of all, wafer thin walls. You hear EVERYTHING the neighbours are doing/saying + the television. more

Kept meaning to write a review but never did... this was no 5 star place, but then again it never said it was and that certainly wasn't reflected in the prices. if yo are going to paris you are going to see the sights, not stay in your room. Staff were pleasant enough. Lift was a bit of a pain...... more
