This hotel was perfect for our long weekend in Paris. We were here to see the sights so we got up, had breakfast, was out all day, came back to sleep and repeated the next day. Beds were comfy and well needed after a day walking. Bathroom and room lovely and clean. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices and... More

Every time When I correct them that the price should be breakfast included, they just said "Yes it was just a misunderstanding and actually breakfast is included", or "Do not woory We... More

I would stay here again in a heartbeat, the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate, warm and comfortable. The breakfast -well let's just say my partner had 2 full plates! AND the had GLUTEN FREE options! As a coeliac this is such a treat for me when I travel as it is a complete rarity. Would... More

Loved this boutique hotel. Excellent value through Superbreak. Great location near lovely shopping arcades and great restaurants in the Montmatre district. Short walk to the Metro. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Fell in love with Paris this time!! We had a quiet room on the 7th floor never heard a soul. Very friendly helpful reception staff.

I spent two nights at the Mercure Paris Monty Opera (as its official sign outside calls it). The area is very convenient being walking distance to the Opera Garnier, the department stores, as well as just a few stops from the Place de la Republique, and the Gare du Nord and Gard de l'Est. It's situated just off Rue du... More

My wife and I were returning to the hotel in which we spent our honeymoon 50 years ago. Obviously it has been substantially updated in that time but it still has a very friendly French feel to it. The lobby, bar and breakfast room have changed out of all recognition. The lift is the same though! The location is great... More

The room is tiny, but the bathroom is a good size. The shower was great: others who complained may have been on the higher floors (we were on the first floor). The breakfast buffet is fine, but certainly not worth the inflated price when you buy it separately. A nice-sized fridge in the room is a big help for storing... More

This is a nice location with a very Parisian feel. Lots of nice restaurants and bakeries nearby. Quite central to a lot of the landmarks. Rooms quite small, even the Privilege room we were upgraded to, but comfortable. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The management policy of one welcome drink when two people are saying seems a bit stingy.... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
