Great hotel in an excellent location. 2 minute walk (if that) from the closest metro stations, with attractions like the louvre being a couple of stops away. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops around. Check in and check out are both at 12pm. However we arrived at 9:00am and were immediately given access to our room, and we're given a... More

If you want a hotel which is conveniently located near the tourist attractions, eateries and convenience store, give this hotel a consideration. Though the size of the hotel is a little petite but it has all the necessary amenities which you seek in a 4-Stars hotel. Room also comes with a tiny balcony overlooking the quiet street with nice view... More

Its a compact hotel located in a quiet street around a busy neighborhood. Location wise this hotel is really good - close to everything you need - stations to several metro lines, bar and restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy etc. Front desk staff are very helpful - they take note of my request, enter into the system and would follow up subsequently.... This is a smart modern hotel in a great position just away from Rue de Lafayette and the theatre land of Paris. The staff were really good with great language skills and were able to direct me to some great restaurants avoiding the tourist traps and rip offs. The room was well appointed clean and comfortable with a great bed,... More

I stayed in Mercury last week during two days for attend an international meeting. the rooms are very small and the breakfast poor for four stars hotel. The reception guy is not frendly and helpful, his name is Manuel. I prefer others hotels in Paris.

Standard Mercure quality - so clean & well equipped rooms, but a little on the small side. A small bar off reception, not much atmosphere but fine for a quick drink. Location was good, a short walk from Grand Boulevards metro, a little further to Cadet.

Room not too large - but this is central Paris. Everything one needs was there. Very well located, 30 minutes walk from the museums and galleries to the south and 20 minutes walk to Montmartre to the north. Breakfast was OK, no more no less.

Booked a 2 night stay and got the 3rd night free plus a Seine cruise through ShortBreaks, including Eurostar travel. The hotel was very close to the Gare du Nord and Metro system which was very useful for the usual sightseeing. As it was St. Valentines Day little heart shape chocolates were left for us in the room. Rooms are... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
