I stayed in Mercury last week during two days for attend an international meeting. the rooms are very small and the breakfast poor for four stars hotel. The reception guy is not frendly and helpful, his name is Manuel. I prefer others hotels in Paris.

Standard Mercure quality - so clean & well equipped rooms, but a little on the small side. A small bar off reception, not much atmosphere but fine for a quick drink. Location was good, a short walk from Grand Boulevards metro, a little further to Cadet.

Room not too large - but this is central Paris. Everything one needs was there. Very well located, 30 minutes walk from the museums and galleries to the south and 20 minutes walk to Montmartre to the north. Breakfast was OK, no more no less.

Booked a 2 night stay and got the 3rd night free plus a Seine cruise through ShortBreaks, including Eurostar travel. The hotel was very close to the Gare du Nord and Metro system which was very useful for the usual sightseeing. As it was St. Valentines Day little heart shape chocolates were left for us in the room. Rooms are... More

Normally I don't expect Paris city center hotels to be good as they get the clients anyway, however Mercure Monty opera kept Mercure standard here. Room was really clean staff very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and I would come here again for my next visit in Paris.

Visited Paris with my boyfriend at the begining of January and overall it was a fantastic weekend away! Hotel was in a perfect location for us, easy access to the metro and various restaurants. However, firstly, for the 3 nights we stayed here, each morning we would put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. The cleaners would decide... More

Dear Guest, Sorry for the misunderstanding...... I booked this hotel in one of Accor's frequent -40% sales and got a double room including breakfast for €96 per night. This was great value for a weekend stay during the New Year holiday season. The room was compact as I believe is the norm for Paris but nicely furnished and exceptionally clean - the bed and bedding was... More

just on the south edge of Montmartre, in sight of the Folies Berger, the hotel is well located and has helpful friendly staff. Well decorated room with comfy mattress and good shower. Very clean, very nice amenities and location great - near the metro, 20 min walk from Louvre and Sacre Couer. Nice and quiet, only downside was wardrobe was a little small. Free safe, and the food was lovely - breakfast was great variety.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
