3 night stay in early December. I love the area and this hotel is placed right in the middle. Easy walk from Gare du Nord and close to 3 metro stations plus good bus routes. Check in was easy and swift. Room relatively spacious with a large bed, a bath and large fluffy towels. And L'occitane toiletries. One light wasn't... More

Booked through Priceline. Arrived to check in, upon departing the cab there appeared to be several homeless people ranting out front. One was urinating on the front of the building. Check in went ok at the front desk. When we got to the room it was sweltering hot! The temp control read 27c (as the current in room temp) the... More

I stayed here 3 nights in July. The room was small but okay for one guy. The bathroom was very small. Only negative to say about the hotel that I had an opened bottle of water in the minibar but it was quickly replaced. The personal was kind, helpful and talked English very well. WiFi included and I had no... More

We found the hotel and our room to be stylish and efficient. The room was small (which I assume is typical of a hotel in a big city) but well-organized. We had 3 medium-sized bags, and while tight, we had no problem moving around. The room had a small refrigerator with a mini-bar, a small pantry/closet, a TV with a... More

This hotel is well-located, close to Opera and Folies Bergere, so a short walk to the center of things. But the place is mostly to be described as tiny in every way. Tiny little room. Tiny, tiny bathroom. Tiny lobby, tiny breakfast room. I've stayed in many hotels in many large cities in Europe and USA so I have seen... More

The hotel is ok, a bit far from what we was interested to do, but the price and quality for me was great! Wifi free! Receptionist very gentle and all them speaking english. The room was comfortable! I got a room in front of the road, a bit noise in the morning but it was ok as we needed to... More

This is not a busy city centre hotel and indeed is very quiet but what a find. Recently refurbished my room although small had everything I needed - from a window which opened to a bottle of free water. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I came back late from a dinner and fancied a scotch and the receptionist... More

This hotel is situated in the 9th arrondissement, and is well-located for tourists seeking an authentic Parisian experience. This is central Paris - just around the corner from the Folies Bergère - yet it is not in area awash with tourists. Two metro stops on different lines are close by - Cadet and Grands Boulevards - so getting around the... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
