The Opera Cadet Hotel was situated in the Opera district of Paris. The hotel was very comfortable although the rooms were a little on the small side. There was no restaurant but the breakfast provided was good and set you up for a full days sightseeing in the city. The staff on the front desk were friendly and very helpful... More

We have stayed in a number of different areas of Paris over the years. We booked this hotel ourselves having seen it promoted by a number of tour operators. We booked a superior room on the 6th floor which was a reasonable size for Paris with separate bathroom & toilet. There was a safe in the room which involved kneeling... More

I've been to Paris a few times and each time a different part of the city. This is hands down my favorite! Less touristy and more authentic. Close to everywhere you want to go, by either walking or the metro which is so close. This hotel is located in the 9th and gives you plenty of restaurants and shops filled... More

Charming little hotel off Rue LaFayette and 10 minutes walking distance from the Opera House, where you could get the Hop On Hop Off bus the underground and the Galleria LaFayette and Printemps department store. Cadet street outside of the hotel, had patisseries, wine stores, restaurants, and cafes. The hotel rooms were small but tastefully decorated and very very clean... More

My wife and I stayed twice at the Opera Cadet during our May 2015 visit to France. The hotel was recommended to us by an advisor we were working with for our vacation. Rue Cadet is a great street, semi-pedestrian only very convenient to the Cadet Metro station. We were in 2 of their suites - both very nice but... More

I stayed for the weekend in the hotel. The cleaning staff stole my $250 sunglasses. I reported it to the front desk and the owner and was told I should have put them in my safety deposit box. I was blamed for the staff stealing my things. AVOID THIS HOTEL.

We stayed here for four nights with eight other couples. The hotel was immaculately clean, the beds were very good. Breakfast was excellent. The front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms in true European-style were small compared to American hotels, But that was something we already anticipated. The location was ideal, Midway walking distance between the Louvre and... This is a very standard hotel. Nothing spectacular, but the breakfast is very good. The concierge were nice and helpful. The location is great, it is right next to the Cadet station. There are lots of restaurants, bakeries, and convenience stores nearby. I did find it a bit odd that the picture in the hallway outside my room was of... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
