I own Dancin Dipoug Travel Agency (DDT) and we are doing a "Trans EUROPE Express" trip. We started with 2 days in Paris, then a day in Brussels, then a day in Amsterdam and then 2 days in London--and then we return to Paris. We stayed at the Opera Cadet in Paris. This is my third trip to Paris and... More

My travel agent booked this hotel for my first trip to Paris and it was amazing! So many great food shops on Rue Cadet! Also there is a Mcdonalds and a Starbucks across the road. There is a pharmacy and tobacco shop next door too. The glamorous shopping centre "Galleries Lafayette" was only 10min walk away plus the opera house... More

Again, I am perhaps remiss in not submitting this review earlier as we stayed here for several days last August (2014). My wife and I were sent here because the hotel originally booked by the travel agency around the corner on Rue Lafayette was booked out (thanks Hotel Opera Lafayette). We were later quite grateful because we felt that the... More

Opera Cadet is a 6 story hotel in the heart of a typical Parisian neighborhood. There were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the Cadet metro stop. The room was typical for Paris-small. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination. The showerhead was detached. The relatively small flat screen TV had... More

We chose this hotel through Jet2 Holidays and were not disappointed. Our room was both spotless and spacious and overlooked a quiet shaded garden. This garden must be a boon during the summer months. The staff were universally helpful and friendly. The location is the centre of Paris, convenient for walking to many areas and several Metro stations for more... More

We chose the Opera Cadet Hotel from the United Vacation list based on reviews, location and price. Other comparatively similar hotels didn't offer a free breakfast which in Paris is a substantial savings. Hotel was a 1/2 block from Metro which enabled us to get wherever we needed to go. The front desk was excellent in handling questions regarding just... More

Spent three nights at the Opera Cadet and would highly recommend it to fellow TA users. Staff were very welcoming upon arrival after our flight and short walk down from Gare Du Nord and we were checked in quickly after a short wait, we were a bit shy of the official check in time. We were given room 110 which... More

This is a Paris favourite for me because not only is the location perfect for what I need when I'm in town, but the staff are unfailingly excellent. I really enjoy the breakfast here, I love the locality and I sleep like a log. It's been very restful to stay here when I've been on business or travelling to see... More

I have stayed in this hotel several times and could not imagine staying at any other place. The location is absolutely amazing, walking distance to Galeries Lafayette, Opera Garnier or Montmartre. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. The hotel staff is polite and very helpful. Great value for your money. As I already said cannot imagine staying anywhere... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
