We were in Paris for the Wales France rugby international, a friend booked the hotel for a party of 12 people, 6 couples. The hotel was a perfect base for us, close to the metro, and walking distance to the main Paris station for the Eurostar, we were able to walk to a lot of the sites of interest. The... More

I stayed in room 301 and slept by the window the first 2 nights. I awoke early in the morning (while it was still dark) because I felt extremely scared. I saw a lady dressed in all black with a black veil silhouetted in front of the window. She was giving off very negative vibes. I also had strange and... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights from 27/2 - 1/3. It was my wifes 30th birthday and on arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite on the 6th, (top) floor. The room was fantastic with an entrance hall with separate bathroom and WC, leading to a spacious double bedroom. The room also... More

This hotel is better than I expected. A really cool location down Rue Cadet. Streetvendors with their products displayed on the street....meats, sausages, fromages, wines, produce....... The room was a little small but that was to be expected. Very nice room though. Very friendly and helpful staff especially with maps, directions and what to do on a really short 2.5... More

Surprise 18th birthday trip to Paris for my daughter. Great location within easy reach of main sites with metro just across the road. Situated in lovely, colourful no traffic through road with bakeries, bistros and all things French. Room more than needed for family of four and continental breakfast good but girls missed a full English! Staff were really friendly,... More

Great location with both metro and buses 2 minutes away. Comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff, we requested a room with an alcove configuration for the third bed and they honoured this. Buffet breakfast was functional, very impressed when I asked if they had any more pain au chocolate, after a few minutes they appeared with a bag of 6... More

This hotel has lots of good reviews, so we were expecting a lot more than we got. Our room was tiny and overlooked a well - the window was narrow and so there was poor light in the room. The bathroom was so tiny - probably the tiniest I have experienced. The shower head was on a sliding poll and... More

I stayed in this hotel from 14th to 18th of February. It is a great hotel with super location .The room in which i stayed had 4 beds: one each for all of us! Cadet metro nearby and La Fayette at walking distance. Another USP of the hotel is ever friendly front desk. The small bar downstairs is comfortably homely, just... More

Having just spent 4 nights across valentines thought would we would drop a note and to thank the hotel for a great experience. Staff were great, location fab, rooms and housekeeping spot on. Great traditional French style hotel. Easy walking distance and metro accessible - definitely recommend. Breakfast and staff in restaurant also very good and comedy receptionists.

Booked a SuperBreak trip to Paris through Bath Travel and the pic in brochure did not do this hotel justice! Staff at hotel advised me that they were updating their website as refurbishment had taken place. Comfortable room and bathroom. Not very big but roomy enough for 3 nights. Breakfast good and excellent location. Would stay there again.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
