The Opera House, two blocks away is a stop on the Hop on Hop off Tour. We used the two day pass on the bus to get around. It is less than 100 yards to two Metro stations. Also there is a bus every 15 mins. between the Opera House and the airport direct. There is a small market store... More

Stayed a night for work at this well located hotel; spacious ground floor area and very professional service from the reception and bar staff. Room was compact without being small, a good use of space really on the 7th floor. The shower had a leak onto the bathroom floor which was a tad annoying. I think the air con was... More

Stayed at the Marriott Opera for a night in April, ahead of business meetings the next day. Great little hotel, with a nice restaurant/bar; only minor niggle was the small size (and number!) of working elevators. Very good location though, for either business or pleasure. I'd stay here again.

I am a loyal Marriott customer but my recent stay at this hotel did not meet my typical expectations. Paris is an expensive city but the price of this hotel was not worth the stay. The hotel is located near the Metro stations which is great and also near the Opera where you can catch the bus for the airport.... More

Dear RJsWorld, Thank you for your valuable feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations during your stay with us. The taxi strike was announced the day before but we didn’t have any information on the fact that there would be absolutely no taxi available in Paris on this particular day as we usually manage to find... The hotel could not have been any better. Very close to tourist attractions but the location was a tranquil and quite. Metro stops within a block or two to the left and right of the hotel and within waking distance of the Louvre and many other sites. The staff were amazing. They were so proficient in English that we didn't... More

I like this hotel for its small and quaint hotel, in comparing to the Marriott on Champ Élysées. The hotel is on a nice quiet street with the best view of Sacre Coeur on Rue de Lafitte. The Executive lounge is small and the food/drink could be better.

Paris was the last destination in our 7 country trip. Checkin was amazing, however the luggage porter was not there to come when our taxi stopped we put our luggage ourselves on the trolley. The next morning the housemaid kept on knocking on the door real early and it was really annoying. Other than that this was a great location... More

We spent good bit of time here. The neighborhood is great with metro, coffee, restaurants, grocery nearby. Hotel was comfortable, typical Marriott. Concierge does an excellent job - they got us into a Michelin restaurant last minute. The hotel restaurant was so so.

As a Platinum member, must say there are much better Marriott hotels than this offering. However, staff and location are the big Plus. The rooms are comfortable, linens fresh, service prompt, facilities in working order. The amenities are so so, the lounge is too crowded and offerings not exciting. Most disappointing is the breakfast Buffett was the same everyday, nothing... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
