We stayed here for 6 nights in April 2015. We had two rooms. The hotel was very nicely furnished and clean. The location is great. It is about 2 - 3 min walk from Palais Garnier and Opéra metro station. Galeries Lafeyette is also very close. There are many restaurants nearby. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the... Excellent service and ideal location. The staff was polite and attentive. The room was large and well appointed. We would stay here again and recommend the hotel. They over a great breakfast, with the best coffee I have had during my European trip.

In March, we were planning a weekend trip to Paris but without any idea as to a good hotel. Having stayed at other Sofitel hotels, in this case the Hotel Scribe managed by Sofitel, we thought we would give it a try. From the moment we walked in we found the staff ready to receive us and even welcomed us... More

A delight to stay at the Hotel Scribe on our way back from Cannes. My wife, daughter of 15 months and myself enjoyed surprisingly our stay. Thank you to the Front Office Manager, Manoel, for the special attention to our baby cot bed and email 24h prior to our arrival asking about our arrival time. Without Him, we would have... More

Our second visit to the Scribe in Paris, and another lovely stay. We first came here when the Crillon shut for renovation and were delighted with the hotel and the service. The hotel is right by Opera, which couldn't be a better central location - perfect for a stroll to almost all of central Paris or a Metro to anywhere.... More

We stayed at Hotel Scribe for 2 nights over a weekend. It was a very pleasant experience. We arrived at Noon and our room was not ready yet so we left our baggage with the conceirge. They recommended a great bistro a few blocks away to have lunch at (instead of recommending their own restaurant) - and we were very... More

Almost everything as I expected for a 5 star hotel in Paris...good room service, lovely traditional French food in the main restaurant, on site spa ( I indulged in a massage and spent time in the steam room), exacting recommendations and over the top service from the concierge, timely doormen, and nicely decorated, clean, well appointed rooms. My one complaint... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
