I have to say I was surprised! What a great hotel! Paris is one of the most expensive cities in the world - and for it's price (we paid 109 euro per night) - the Galileo was good for our budget. We hasitated a little before the reservation, due to it's proxemity to Champes Elisee (thought it would be loud),... more

This hotel is in a great location, in an alley just off the Champs Elysees, with the Arc de Triomph right around the corner. Quiet and safe. The room is spacious and clean. Not much to say about the breakfast except that it is very basic. It's not the cheapest hotel around but I Think if you have the budget,... more

We selected this hotel primarily for proximity to the Champs Elysee. It was wonderful coming back in the evenings on the metro to this location -- all decked out in holiday glitz. The rooms were ok in size for a European hotel room. They were warm (paris is COLD in Nov), the water in the shower/tub hot, and both bathroom... more

We stayed in Hotel Galileo for three nights at the beginning of July, and it was exactly as we expected. Lovely clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and a perfect location for good restaurants and sight seeing. Our room was a good size and nicely decorated. The hotel itself wasn't too big nor commercial... it had a nice, friendly feel.... more

Very good value for the great location - very near Champs Elysees! Room was ok size, free wifi, clean toilet and bedroom. The only negative thing is that it isn't a romantic setting and I wouldn't recommend it to those looking for ambience. But really, great value. more

I have stayed at the Galileo twice. It is about a 1 minute walk from the Champs-Élysées, about three minute walk from the George V metro stop, five minute walk from the Charles de Gaulle metro stop, and five minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. You really can't be more central than that -- and it is a great... more

It was a godsend for me. I had a very bad experience in the subway in Paris at my arrival, followed by a appartment rental where I could not stay for many reasons. I will write another post about it later, once I gather my thoughts. I had a book about hotels in Paris and with the help of a friend we... more

Hotel Galileo, 54 Rue Galillee, Paris--is a lovely small hotel just off the Champs Elysses. Because it is small it lacks some of the services of large hotels, i.e. there is no ironing board and iron in the room---though you can have one brought to you, and there aren't a lot of free goodies. But there is all the help... more

I was traveling on vacation with my two children. We checked in to the Galileo on a Saturday. Even in their largest room, it woas almost impossible to move around. The room could barely fit two small cot-like beds, let alnoe the third rollaway which resembled am army infirmary cot. It was two small for my ten year old. On... more

Good deal on this lovely place which is down a quiet side street near the Arc De triumpe and the Champs Elysee in Paris. You can walk to the Eiffel tower and everything from here (or Metro). The hotel was clean, very comfortable and very quiet. Our room had shower and bath and a full bed (not two twins pushed... more
