Pleasant , homely boutique hotel , within walking distance of the metro . Good breakfast with choice of cereal , fruit and cold meats . Ideal location for touring all the sights of Paris .

I booked this place with a group of American high school students. The staff was super helpful and friendly when making and changing reservations. I was very pleased with the level of contact and communication. The location is fabulous. In Montmartre only a few minutes from the Abbesses & Blanche métro stops. Maybe 5 minutes from Sacré Coeur. There are... More

We were transferred here despite having a reservation at another place, Vintage Hostel. After dragging our tired bodies through the streets of Paris in the rain, we get to the Vintage (which looked great!) only to be transferred here, which happen often, due to overbooking. It's a strategy that works well for them, cuz who wants to find immediate accommodations... More

Utrillo is a great place if you seek for a clean, cute little room to sleep and get rested. We spent four nights and we liked it very much. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and the location is excellent, near two metro stations and in the heart of montmartre, a few steps from rue abbesses, which is... More

We were looking for a hotel in a nice area and for affordable price. We found on Internet quite good offer for this hotel, even though it was not the cheapest 2 star hotel in the particular area. Once we arrived, the hotel looked nice outside. Unfortunately we got a room on a 6th floor and were informed that an... More

the rooms are a bit small but I have stayed in worst and paid more in Paris. Its comfortable and the staff spoke good english and were helpful. If you want a location close to everything in Montmarte and to great cafes and fruit shops, you can't go passed this one.

I always think that you have to try and give a balanced picture when you provide a review such as this - but I really am struggling on this occasion! There were some positives with the location being the main one. There are great bars and restaurants nearby, which is useful, as you won't want to spend much time in... More

I would very much like to write an all-positive review of this hotel, because it is nicely located on Montmartre, close to cafes and restaurants and not far from the metro. The rooms are very small but functional and reasonably priced. The staff is also friendly enough. However, this hotel is not for the asthmatic or allergic traveller - at... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
