Visited in October. Surprisingly small reception, but staff friendly enough if not particularly welcoming. Typical Ibis facilities, bed reasonably comfortable and room clean but quite small for a double. Biggest issue I had with this hotel was the location, it's not in a particularly nice neighbourhood and on the walk up from the Gare du Nord (which is notorious and... More

Me and my sister stayed here and loved it! It's a five minute walk from scare ceour and the way is lined with gift shops, the street does get kinda creepy at night so I wouldn't be out past 11, your also just a 5 minutes walk to a grocery store! Only concern was that the elevator is super small!!... More

I stayed here for a couple of days while sight seeing in Paris. I chose the hotel because of its location in Mont Marte. Mont Marte is the area of the city o the north based around the obvious hill, it is a bit more bohemian and alternative, even seedy in places. Staying I n Mont Marte you are not... More

I didn't have much expectations of this hotel after reading previous reviews but I must say my triple room was unexpectedly large. We had a big double bed and a single sofa bed. The room was spacious enough for three of us on the third floor. The tiny lift added to the adventure of visiting Paris esp for my two... More

Odd and ugly neighborhood, but 4 minutes from the subway station and a Carrefour that opens late. This is gotta be the worst Ibis I've ever stayed at, bathroom was falling to pieces, the elevator the size of a fridge, a corridor so narrow you could only drag your suitcase sideways. Tragic. That being said, staff was very friendly and... More

Stayed here for a weekend Fri/Sat and booked on Ibis website. Hotel is quick to get to from Eurostar/Gare du Nord station on the underground get off at Anvers station and hotel is literally 1 minute walk. Staff spoke some English at reception and check in was quick. Rooms are very small with a small bathroom, so its fine if... More

In the Montmartre area, it is just below the Sacre Couer building. The staff were just brilliant which more than made up for some of the items we would have loved to see included - tea/coffee making facilities; safe; and more than 1 English channel. The bed was good and the bathroom okay but the shower is very small. The... More

This hotel is a place to sleep when visiting Paris. People looking for a nice hotel experience should look elsewhere (and pay more obviously). However, the staff at reception were very friendly and efficient, that is an important factor for me and I am pleased with the service I received. It is a two star hotel, but I gave three... More

the room and the bathroom are quite small. But it doesn't matter since me and my family spend almost of the time for exploring the city. this place is very near the Sacre Coeur, it's just 10 minutes walking. it's also near the RER/Metro station, about 15 minutes walking, which can bring you everywhere you want :). one thing that... The hotel is small and cramped (difficult to get more than 2 people in the lift), and is generally in need of a refurb. The area set aside for breakfast is awful and off putting. Is not the most salubrious area - whether turning left to the Gare du Nord or right to the Place Pigalle. Maybe that explains why... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
