The location was very convenient to my business trip. Breakfast varieties are very good and enjoyable. The room itself is small like the whole hotel but convenient. Staff are very helpful and nice. Clean overall but the room has a smell.

My mother, my sister and I visited Paris in January for 3 days and were very satisfied with our stay in this hotel. Hotel isn't too pricey. We were able to check in earlier than usual check in time. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel service and cleanliness are also unquestionable. Hotel location was perfect, easy access to the... More

This boutique hotel was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. The beds and bathroom were clean and modern. The location was somewhat distant from the main attractions of Paris but the Metro was only 2 minutes away and there are many good restaurants close at hand. An added feature was the Tuesday and Thursday market in front of the... More

Dear guests, we thank you very much for your comment! Our rooms have been renovated last year and we are currently working on the lobby. The food market in front of the hotel takes place three times a week (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday) and as you mentioned this is a real added feature for tourists since you can find most... More

If you see the place from street level, you would not enter. Yet, the lobby area is dodgy. Once, you are up in the room, it is just great. Nicely designed and very quiet. The breakfast place is very small and might become overcrowded - we have not experienced this, quality however outstanding. Service overall is great. Will definitely come... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean and friendly hotel. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful to set us up for the day exploring the city. The breakfast area might have been a bit cramped but clean and tasty fare. Beware that there is a big market on Sunday morning right outside the hotel. If you... More

Quite a nice boutique hotel. Rooms are not that big but definitely clean and furnished in an fashion way. Bathroom is relatively large and clean. Quite a silent area, good to rest. Breakfast is not the best I have ever had, but is appropriate. The front desk employees are nice and competent. Close enough to the metro to go downtown

It's easy to go badly wrong with accommodation in Paris. Believe me. I know ... but that's a different story! So avoid trouble, and book this hotel. Clean comfortable beds. Bathrooms that are servicable, though not especially luxurious. I actually had a view of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom window. A decent breakfast, though the setting is slightly subterranean.... Clean and comfortable, typical Mercure business style, but not cold. Good location if you do not mind taking the metro, station 100 meters away and with three lines (Place d'Italie). Also very close to a big shopping mall and the quaint district called "La Butte aux Cailles" (a hill indeed). Good price-quality ratio if you prebook. (There is another Mercure... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
