Quite a nice boutique hotel. Rooms are not that big but definitely clean and furnished in an fashion way. Bathroom is relatively large and clean. Quite a silent area, good to rest. Breakfast is not the best I have ever had, but is appropriate. The front desk employees are nice and competent. Close enough to the metro to go downtown

It's easy to go badly wrong with accommodation in Paris. Believe me. I know ... but that's a different story! So avoid trouble, and book this hotel. Clean comfortable beds. Bathrooms that are servicable, though not especially luxurious. I actually had a view of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom window. A decent breakfast, though the setting is slightly subterranean.... Clean and comfortable, typical Mercure business style, but not cold. Good location if you do not mind taking the metro, station 100 meters away and with three lines (Place d'Italie). Also very close to a big shopping mall and the quaint district called "La Butte aux Cailles" (a hill indeed). Good price-quality ratio if you prebook. (There is another Mercure... More

Hotel Mercure Paris Place d’Italie is a typical, small Parisian hotel with the unique charm that you’d anticipate as a visitor to the City of Lights. It is located a stone’s throw from Place d’Italie and the metro station, from which you can easily reach the nearest RER station and thus the train to/from Charles de Gaulle airport. It’s cosy... Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to write this lovely comment regarding our hotel. The Hotel is very good located with the underground, and it can be reached easily from CDG/Orly airports with the RER B, but also from all train stations (Montparnasse, Gare du Nord, Gare de l’Est, Gare Austerlitz), without changing. We regret that... More

This hotel was perfect for a four nights stay in Paris. To be honest, I didn't spent a lot of time at the hotel, but the beds were comfortable and the staff were really friendly and spoke good english. Location between two metro stations and near a shopping mall was also very good. From Place d'Italie metro station you can... More

Normally for a city trip you choose hotel based on location.the closer to the main city attractions the better.. If that's what you wat this place will disappoint. It's quite a ways to champs, Eiffel, rue st honore or louvre. At least 15 to 25 minutes by metro. But the metro station is real close at place d'italie itself. 100/150... More

Dear Guest, we are so happy to read that you could appreciate the positive points of our hotel: spacious rooms, not in the touristic center of Paris, but in a pretty and typical Parisian quarter, with underground facilities to reach the main monuments, parking facilities, and a shopping center just around the corner! I stayed recently in the Mercure Place d'Italie. As a previous reviewer said, you'd almost walk past the hotel without giving it a second glance, but if you did so you'd be missing out!! Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighborhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
