Spent a few nights at the Newton Opera and despite the very small room (normal in Paris unless you want to downgrade quality or upgrade your budget considerably), I enjoyed my stay very much. Everything was cute and turn of the century (the previous one) in styling except the bathroom that was modern and very functional (again, for its small... More

So I made the mistake of not checking TripAdvisor before booking the Newton Opera - if I had I would not have booked. While the staff were polite, and the room was adequate (to the extent of having a bed and a shower), the communal spaces were utterly filthy. General cleanliness was terrible, and the staining on the carpets, on... More

This hotel exploits unsuspecting tourists. OK, it is in a good location but clearly the hotel has had no investment or even basic maintenance in many, many years. Stupid me for not reading reviews on trip advisor which describe quite clearly how appalling this place is. In 10 years of regularly visiting Paris this is the worst accommodation I have... More

The Hotel was convenient for the Place de Madeleine however it is the dirtiest hotel that I have ever stayed in - mould in the bathroom, cracked basin, all the carpets badly stained. The photos are extremely misleading. Overall the hotel is quite disgusting and should in my opinion be closed down!

This hotel was the base for two nights on a quick trip to Paris. Initial ( female) reception staff was most helpful with booking the Openbus tickets. Room was on fourth floor facing street. Oh dear! Carpet in hall was stained and tatty and the room itself was airless and tired looking. Air conditioner made minimal difference even when encouraged... More

I ended up staying at this hotel with my two colleagues when our company was a little late making reservations and so this was the only place available at short notice. We arrived about 9pm on a Sunday night and were greeted by a very unfriendly man on reception who looked a little annoyed that we, heaven forbid, wanted to... More

This hotel is not safe and certainly not clean! With live wires hanging out of the walls and Sick stains all over the carpets including blood stains on the bed sheets its quite disgusting! The sink was all peeling from the inside and there is mould on the walls. The whole place needs to be updated and all carpets and... More

We stayed for 4 days and though it was quite reasonable. The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from madeline metro stop and nestled amongst some nice restaurants/ cafes. The hotel itself is a little dated but we found it to be spotless and the staff were really pleasant. The room was small but comfortable and clean with... More

I chose this hotel at the last minute after after my original reservations fell through. Pictures on this website (hotel.com) and Trip Advisor are deceptive. This hotel must have been quaint at some point, but the management has not maintained the property. The room was shabby, and nearly falling apart. There were stains in the carpet, and the bathroom was... More

We spent 3 nights in this lovely, nice Hotel. It is very good located. Metro is very close and the Le Madeleine is close. Room was very small but charming decorated. It is quite at night and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean even though the carpet could be replaced. Breakfast is NOT included for 15.-Euro you can... More
