Upside: location, location, location! Nice small balcony with enough room for a chair that looked towards Place de Concorde. Hermes toiletries. The most comfortable bed ever (even a booklet on how to order if you wanted to buy one). Very clean. Downside: room not 5 star standard with missing knob on bedside table, cracked basin, telephone cabinet had damaged foot,... More

I took my daughter to Paris for four days last week; it was her first visit there. I was really looking forward to the hotel, having read such positive reviews but the reality far outweighed my expectations. We could not fault any aspect of our stay and will look no further than Le Faubourg for any future visits to Paris.... More

The location is wonderful, very practical with metro stop 100 meters away on Place de la Concorde. Rooms are very nice, with Hermès bathroom amenities (the Hermès flagship store on rue du Faubourg Honoré is literally around the corner). The downside: The breakfast area ist too small, i.e. we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated for breakfast.... so... More

This is an excellent location, near Place de Concorde, the Seine, and Louvre in an upscale area of Paris. Ten minutes walk from Blvd. St. Germaine, which leads to all of the small cafes in the Latin Quarter. As the previous advisor wrote, it's near the American Embassy & Hotel Crillon, so the street is blocked off from traffic. It's... More

All I can say is a huge thank you to Sofitel Le Faubourg who made our trip to Paris absolutely delightful. On our previous trip to Paris we spent four nights at the Millennium Hotel in a tiny room – with a disproportionately high ceiling, joined endless queues for museums and endured bad restaurant food everywhere we went. Our trip... More

I stayed here 7 years ago and had fond memories of the property. Sadly, the present reality doesn't measure up. Nothing has been done to upgrade the hotel during that time and they are resting on their magnificent location - the absolute centre of Paris. Like others, I found the breakfast left a lot to be desired. There are too... More

This time I have to say our stay at the hotel was not like the first time, even though i must say that is one of my favourite places in Paris, always above the average among the same category of hotels. I thought that the second time in the hotel should bring some benefit, just as the good will of... More

We stayed here for one night on 11 October 2008. While the hotel is well located I found the staff problematic. At breakfast, for example, I was shown to a table right at the door of the cafe. I asked politely if I could move to another table to the rear of the cafe, but the waitress said 'non' and... More

The Exemplary: 1- Location- This hotel is in the middle of everything. For those who enjoy walking, the Musee Du Louvre, Jardin Des Tuileries, Place De Concorde, Notre Dame, Musee D’Orsay, the Champs Elysees and our favorite breakfast pastry shop Aux Delices De Manonare (400 rue Saint-Honore, try the most delicious Palmiers in Paris) are all within walking distance of... I am writing from my room here right now. Earlier today when we returned, we were asked to move from Room 203 to a similar room (but no terrace) on the 1st floor. OK enough but they were very pushy calling 4 times in the 7 minutes we took to pack, standing outside the room for us to leave, etc.... More

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
