I chose this hotel because it is located directly at the train station at Gare de Lyon. I was taking a TGV train from Bern, Switzerland to Paris arriving at 1:30PM. With a big luggage for an Asian hassling around in cold weather is not a convenient thing to do in November. Therefore an hotel located in walking distance is... More

As my train from Italy got in at just before midnight and I left early to catch Eurostar I probably didn't get a full idea of this hotel. Must admit the front desk drove me mad asking for credit card etc when I'd already paid, was not having breakfast and leaving early when all I wanted to do was get... More

We chose the Mercure Gare de Lyon based on its location (attached to the gare) and prior experience with Mercure. We were not disappointed. We had a privilege room street-side (I am told station-side rooms can be noisy). The room was clean, well appointed, and as quiet as you could expect in busy Paris. The beds was comfortable. The bathroom... More

The staff at the front desk were very polite and helpful, both at check-in and check-out. However, the room I had was dirty, stains in the carpet and water-leak stains on the ceiling and walls. Altogether disappointing for a supposed "luxury" hotel. I was on a business trip, so at least the company re-imbursed me for this forgettable experience.

Dear Client, I am sorry for the issue you had in the room and did transfer your email to the housekeeping department for immediate correcting mesures. This is really exceptionnal and does not reflect the quality level we aim to deliver on a daily basis. I hope we will have the opportunity to change your mind if you stay again... More

Booked a privilege room for 2 nights and it was a nightmare. Not expected at all. The free Wifi is very poor and does not download basic email attachment All my electrical plugs are English standard so I asked for a plug adaptor and they told the do not have it and directed me to a shop in the station!!!.

Dear Client, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. The wifi access is free and normally we don't have any problem with it, however I regret we did not find any solution for you. Also concerning the plugs we used to have many for a loan at reception, thus I suppose the person that directed... More

We missed our train out of Paris and needed to stay overnight. Good thing is the hotel was right next to the train station bad news you have all the traffic noise until 1 AM. the room was tiny we barely were able to walk around with our 3 suitcases in the room. Bathroom was weirdly configured. the shower extended... More

Dear Client, I'm sorry you felt the room too small during your stay with us. Our rooms are 16 to 18 square meters, this correspond to the sandards for four star hotels or Mercure although some are biggers of course. Concerning the noise we do plan refurbishement for some rooms facing the station begining 2015. I hope you will see... More

I stayed here for 5 nights on business and the hotel was basic but clean. The room was relatively small but had free wifi and a tv with BBC news (only English channel). Dear Client, First I would like to thank you for your comment as you did have a long stay at the Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon. I'm surprised this was a 4 star hotel. The rooms are similarly sized as some other 2 star hotels and the amenities were bare-bones except for the addition of a tiny fridge. Wifi was decent though needed a simple re-authorization every day. The only good thing about this place is the entrance is just beside one of the entrance for... More

Dear Client, Thank you for taking time to write a comment following your stay in our hotel. Two day stay, room was larger than some paris rooms, very clean, excellent bed, great shower in the bathroom. Good toiletries supplied.
