The room was quite large (long hallway opening into bedroom area). It was a bit odd to have the commode in a separate room but it was not a problem. The service was good--especially Charlene who was friendly and helpful. Guests should be aware that there is no maid service unless one stays for a minimum number of days (4?).... More

I am not particularly demanding when it comes to accommodation as I don't tend to spend a lot of time at the hotel when I'm on a trip. As long as it's clean, not too small, not too noisy and well located then I'm happy. This hotel ticked all of those boxes. There was enough room for the 3 of... More

We stayed here with our two children (aged 11 and 12). The children used the beds in the separate bedroom and we used the comfortable and spacious sofa bed, which was very easy to setup and put away. The apartment had a well equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge, hob, toaster, kettle and dishwasher. There were plenty of cooking utensils and... More

I have stayed at Citadines Bastille Gare de Lyon for a week in early february/2015. I have been there with my family (2 adults + 2 kids). The first room assigned to us was number 415. The room smelled musty due to the old and dirty carpet. As soon as I got into the room I begum to sneeze uninterruptedly.... More

Stayed three nights during a mid-week break in Paris. The price was very reasonable for four adults and I was concerned about the quality of the accommodation for this reason! Thankfully I was really pleased - the receptionist on the desk was extremely helpful, pointing out where the nearest supermarket and Metro station were (both are located very close to... More

We have stayed in Paris on numerous occasions and each time the scenario has been remarkedly similar: we rent an apartment in a picturesque arrondissement that is hideously overpriced and never quite as comfortable as you expect it to be. Maybe I’m an elitist (or ‘too fussy’ as one landlord charmingly told me), who knows, but if I’m paying a... More

Stayed two nights here on a weekend break in Paris. The room was like a small self catering apartment with an ensuite and kitchenette (which I didn't use). It felt kind of like temporary accommodation and I got the impression that there were a number of people / families living in the hotel. The decor is very tired and the... More

We spent 3 nights in a 1 room apartment. The staff were very helpful, attending to all our issues (e.g. Figuring out how the stove worked). The kitchenette was well-equipped and looked fresh and new. The bathroom had also recently been done up. Unfortunately the room itself needs painting, and looked a bit shabby. However the beds were very comfortable,... More

We stayed here for five nights from December 29th - January 3rd and couldn't have had a better experience. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and spoke excellent English, which was very helpful since our French is very limited. We had two rooms; one was a one bedroom apartment (504), and the other a studio apartment (211). Both rooms were... More

The entrance to this apart-hotel is with a key card. We were outside for about 2 minutes before a fellow guest noticed us and opened the door for us. The reason was because the staff was busy attending to another guest. Apart from this small hiccup, the place was so wonderful. We had a one bedroom suite with lots of... More

Staying in Bercy / Nation

Neighborhood Profile
Bercy / Nation
Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois de Vincennes, which even contains a medieval castle on its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to this calming neighborhood where real Parisians make their homes.
