The hotel is very convenient to Metro and most of Paris's major attractions are within walking distance. The Seine is only a short distance away. Rooms are small, but evidently larger than most inner city Paris rooms at this price. Quiet, but no views. Bathroom small, water hotter at night than the morning. Staff very helpful and accommodating - we... More

First, the positives: the position of the hotel is perfect, very central. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Had little interaction with the staff but they were all nice. For the negatives, the breakfast was slightly underwhelming, pretty much the bare minimum, but if you're not used to eat much it will be perfectly fine. Overall I think the... More

This is not a luxury hotel. The rooms are large and the bathroom is very functional except there is no power point. It is comfortable but the lack of power points is a nuisance. However the ladies on the desk, Christine and Cleopatra were wonderfully helpful. The location is ideal: metro outside the door and easy walking to the Louvre... More

It began with no service, and very, very rude arrival service when the female hotel manager eventually showed up. Rooms tiny, water damaged, no shower screen, no fridge or tea making facilities, hair dryer pathetic. Definitely not 3 stars. And to top it off charged an extra unauthorised A$300 for I don't know what... Could hear the man next door... More

There are lots of reasons for liking a particular hotel. The design of the room, staff who are genuinely warm and hospitable, the comfort of the bed. Sadly this hotel excels at none of these. My room was stuffy and cramped. The facilities basic. And, confusingly, there is a hotel with the same name just 100 meters away. This hotel... More

Great location in middle of Paris. Clean room, helpful staff. No extras, but for the price it's an excellent value. If you want full service or other amenities, you'll need to pay more and stay elsewhere.

A friend and I stayed here for one night in July. We arrived in Paris during the morning and had to wait until 2pm to check in, but could leave luggage in reception (not a storage room) and go for a walk. On return we checked in. The room was okay, basic with two beds, but clean. Same for the... More

I would love to rate this higher, it has the potential, but then most of 3 star hotels in Paris have potential. If you understand that everything in Paris is over-priced - then this is an okay price for the Paris market. The room is actually slightly larger than we expected - a positive. The staff are okay - not... More

Very accommodating and friendly staff in a good area. Bathroom and bed tiny and difficult to get out of tub /shower and we are in good shape. Bed is a double bed size. No amenities so you need to be prepared. Friends paid more for a small place in a much less attractive area so we were lucky. Would prefer... More

Hotel BAC St Germaine is a small very visitor friendly place to stay in Saint Germaine near the musee d'Orsay. Our room in true Paris fashion was quite small but suited us perfectly including a comfortable bed, small desk and chairs, wardrobe with a safety deposit box and a bathroom that included a bath. Free wifi was provided and assistance... More

Staying in Tour Eiffel / Invalides

Neighborhood Profile
Tour Eiffel / Invalides
With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.
