This was our second time staying at this hotel and we chose it because of its excellent location at a reasonable price. It is a quirky hotel with a tiny elevator in a small hallway just off of Rue Du Bac and we found it charming and just right for us. The room was just fine and we were able... More

Terrible. After entering the locked door to the entrance we entered a dark hall with duck tape holding up parts of the marble tile walls. The elevator was so small both my husband and I could not fit and had to go separately. The reception desk was small, dingy, dark and "beat-up" looking. We had to pay for the full... More

Despite prime location, disappointing from the start. No warning that full payment had to be upfront. A welcoming shock. Hotel conveniently appears to switch hot water off in the evenings, presumably to save costs. A lukewarm shower at midnight not exactly an ideal welcome. Wifi terrible. Staff friendly and welcoming, but clearly management behind it appalling. Cold shower just not... More

Location was good. Immediately next to Metro Rue du Bac. Walking distance to Notre Dame. Monoprix grocery store two blocks away. Beds were comfortable and the staff is helpful. The only downside was there is only one power outlet in the rooms. The WIFI worked well. No street noise.

The hotel is very convenient to Metro and most of Paris's major attractions are within walking distance. The Seine is only a short distance away. Rooms are small, but evidently larger than most inner city Paris rooms at this price. Quiet, but no views. Bathroom small, water hotter at night than the morning. Staff very helpful and accommodating - we... More

First, the positives: the position of the hotel is perfect, very central. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Had little interaction with the staff but they were all nice. For the negatives, the breakfast was slightly underwhelming, pretty much the bare minimum, but if you're not used to eat much it will be perfectly fine. Overall I think the... More

This is not a luxury hotel. The rooms are large and the bathroom is very functional except there is no power point. It is comfortable but the lack of power points is a nuisance. However the ladies on the desk, Christine and Cleopatra were wonderfully helpful. The location is ideal: metro outside the door and easy walking to the Louvre... More

It began with no service, and very, very rude arrival service when the female hotel manager eventually showed up. Rooms tiny, water damaged, no shower screen, no fridge or tea making facilities, hair dryer pathetic. Definitely not 3 stars. And to top it off charged an extra unauthorised A$300 for I don't know what... Could hear the man next door... More

There are lots of reasons for liking a particular hotel. The design of the room, staff who are genuinely warm and hospitable, the comfort of the bed. Sadly this hotel excels at none of these. My room was stuffy and cramped. The facilities basic. And, confusingly, there is a hotel with the same name just 100 meters away. This hotel... More

Great location in middle of Paris. Clean room, helpful staff. No extras, but for the price it's an excellent value. If you want full service or other amenities, you'll need to pay more and stay elsewhere.
