Location was pretty good. Breakfast was chargeable (which we didn't realise) and in hindsight we would have probably eaten out the second morning - but a good continental spread. Hotel staff were polite and offered to book us dinner at restaurants they would recommend which I always appreciate. One massive downside: The bed!! Booked a double room and got two... More

For a well situated, well priced hotel, look no further. Having researched the hotel before our recent 3 night stay, we knew that the rooms would be a little on the small side however this seems normal for Paris. The room was clean, well decorated, comfortable, and ready for us 5 hours before our check in time (which was great!)... More

To be honest, I was disappointed once I checked my room. It was much smaller than expected. Despite this I enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff were friendly with assisting me with storing my luggage after I checked out. I would recommend this hotel to those who want to wander around Paris on foot or using the public bicycle... More

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Icone in July for 4 nights. We arrived at 9:30 am, well before check-in time and Sophie at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. She gave us map of Paris and showed us where all the major sights were and told us to go walk around and come back in an... More

I've just returned from a 3 night stay at the Icone with a friend in a twin room. I had emailed the hotel a few weeks before the trip with some general questions and always received a polite answer which is a good start! When we arrived we were 'greeted' by the receptionist. No fuss, no nonsense. I'm not one... More

PROS: Based on other reviews I was a little nervous about the size of the room, but when we arrived it wasn't as bad as it is made out to be. Having stayed in Paris several times, I was prepared for a tiny room. We were very pleasantly surprised with a junior suite. Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
