Small hotel just off Passy. Very close to Passy metro and a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Some decent shopping along Passy. Was scared initially by the bright SUSHI sign across the street (like the Seinfeld Kenny Rogers episode) but they shut it off when the restaurant closed. Small room and even smaller washroom. I had a "large" single.... more

It seems that there haven't been any comments on the Hotel Gavarni for some time so I thought I would contribute a review of our stay in July 2007. The hotel is in an excellent location in the Passy area, not far from the Passy metro (5 min walk) and the Eiffel Tower within a 15 minute walk. Our room... more

This is a delightful little hotel and in an excellent location. The rooms and bathrooms are small, but the decorations make up for it. more

Okay the bathroom is miniscule, but the plumbing works great! Also, the room is immaculate, nicely decorated, and quiet. In the morning, the fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee, boiled eggs, pastries, yogurt, and cereal make for a delightful continental breakfast. The surrounding neighborhood, the toney 16th arrondisement, if not the most tourist friendly, is very walkable with good shopping, and the... more

This is your typical small hotel in Paris. Rooms are small and so are the bathrooms but this is what you should expect for a two star hotel with a rate of ~120 euros a night. The room have character and bathrooms are very clean. If you can, get a room facing the street so that you don't hear the... more

I have stayed at the Hotel Gavarni on two trips to Paris. Both stays were excellent, in a quiet neighborhood and as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. The staff was very accomodating. If you want value for less, in a clean, cheery environment -- this is it! Close to Passy Metro as well... more

I stayed here for one night, on recommendation by a Charming hotels book, but I was not too impressed. It lies at a walkable distance from a metro station but the neighbourhood is quite average. There are many nicer areas to stay in. The ladies at the reception are Asian and like most Asians nice and friendly, but not very... more

We stayed here a few years ago and it was wonderful. It is in a residential area, so it was quiet and had a grocery store nearby and pastry shops. The service was excellent, the person at the desk made train reservations for us and took very good care of us. We did walk to the Eiffel tower which was... more
