Stayed for NYE. Very small hotel, elevator for two people only. Thin walls, you can even hear snores from the other room. Ecofriendly, they use vinegar and baking soda to clean. Very old structure, paint coming off. Could not sleep because we could not turn off the heat and the air conditioning is off for the winter. Tiny bathroom and... More

Standard rooms in this personal-size hotel are small but beautiful and definitely adequate. This is one of those lovely, personable Paris hotels that is in an apartment type building (a beautiful building as is the case with many Paris buildings). I enjoyed the efficiency of their design. The bathroom is tiny but it was no problem at all for me.... More

My husband and I love Hotel Gavarni -it was our 4th stay! Hotel Gavarni is located close to the Eiffel Tower and metro with good shopping nearby and the authentic Parisian feel. Rooms are small and bathroom is very small but we're in Paris where space is precious. Front desk folks are very helpful with directions, suggestion and want you... More

We are just back from a great few days at this lovely boutique hotel. On booking in, the receptionist confirmed we had reserved a twin classic room but on opening the door to our beautiful room on the 5th floor, we found it was a twin bed. You leave your key with reception on leaving, we were asked if we... More

We had an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower from our room and it's a short walking distance to passy metro station and a short walk to Eiffel Tower. We enjoyed the Parisian design of our room and the service is great. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Garvani Review It took me a while to decide upon a hotel. This was my second solo trip to Paris, the first time staying in the Latin Quarters. The factor that swayed me was the proximity to the Eiffel Tower as I jog every morning. I like the idea of doing it with the Tower as my focus and destination.... More

This is an old hotel in an average part of the city. The positives were: easy access from the metro and a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Also, there were two nice cafes down the street. The negatives were: older hotel and would have preferred a nicer part of town.

Great boutique hotel. Clean and in good condition. Rooms compact as is typical for Paris but well appointed with all the essentials, plus air con. Well sited in the attractive and calm 16th arrondissement, close to trocadero and eifel tower. Good shops and restaurants nearby and metro link to key places. Got a good rate online.

Our room was very nice and clean. It looked just like I expected it to look based on the photos I had seen online. The location is wonderful, only about a 5-10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The only negative aspect was that the room had an adjoining room with basically no sound-proofing. We'd still definitely stay here again.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
