We reserved a suite - a room with a very nice sitting area in which our family was able to gather. The bathroom was still very very small even with the higher level accommodation. The elevator was quite small, so we just walked up several floors to our room. The breakfast buffet was adequate but nothing special. Most rooms are... More

With very little effort this could be a really good hotel in its class. Its a comfortable clean and pleasant environment in a very nice part of Paris. some attention to detail like hall lights will not be amiss

Good points: , very nice location, good price, nice personnel, good breakfast, quiet night. Negative point: small room (could be fine) but really small bath room (if somebody is not very slim it could be a problem ...).

Oct20-23, 2014 As advertised the rooms were small, but very clean, nice beds, small bathroom. Great location(10 minutes to the Eiffel Tower) lots of restaurant, and cafes nearby, and close to the Passy Metro stop. The stake was great, Dante was very helpful as was everyone else. We would recommend and stay again

My wife and I and my inlaws stayed three nights at the Hotel Gavarni towards the end of our vacation in France and the main reason for staying here was the price for this location. There aren't very many quality hotels located near the Eiffel Tower for reasonable prices but this one did the job for us. And it's located... More

The hotel was decent for the price I paid. It was relatively inexpensive compared to similar hotels and had a great central location, with the eiffel tower only 10 minutes walk away. The reception staff were friendly and always willing to help. They spoke very good English. I had booked a room with a balcony and view of the eiffel... More

I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to Paris! I am a solo female traveler, and I stayed for 9 nights. The people working at the front desk were very friendly, helpful, and spoke fluent English. They let me leave my bag behind the front desk on the first day since my room was not ready when I... Excellent staff, even better location away from the crowds. Rooms are small - well appointed - and very French. Have stayed there 3x and will do it again. Passy Metro stop/Monoprix (a version of our Walmart with clothes and food)/wine shops/one of the best Boulangerie's in Paris/cafe's/bank machine...this location offers everything just outside the door. I would not advise spending... More

We recently stayed at the Gavarni for 1 night at the start of June and it was a lovely dainty hotel. The staff are so friendly and the management team are quite simply out of this world and couldn't do any more for you. It is in the suburbs of Paris but still only 15/20 mins from the Eiffel Tower... The Gavarni is five minutes from the crowds around the Eiffel Tower but it could be another world. Its location in a small street off rue de Passy makes this a delightfully quiet place to escape the noise and bustle of the city. If you're arriving at Charles de Gaulle airport, it's very easy to get to the Gavarni -... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
