I am presently in Paris as I type this as can say Hotel Gavarni is an excellent selection. Very reasonable rates considering you are 10 mins walk to Eiffel Tower. Lots to see & do with mins walk from Gavarni's door. Loads of restaurants, cafes, pastry shops - all SO tasty! My room had a view of the Eiffel Tower... More

First trip to Paris and this hotel was recommended to us by a friend. (We are still friends.) We booked the Eiffel room with the spectacular views. The location is great for walking most places and very close to a metro stop ! Staff were very helpful and one young man helped my dad and I get to see PSG... More

When I booked this hotel I didn't know what to expect. But I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. We had a very warm welcome upon arrival and things were very easy-going. When I got to the room, it was smaller than I expected but it was immaculate. The location is perfect. It's not in a tourist trap, which... More

We arrived in the evening after a very long time travelling and were so relieved to have booked this room! The staff were very courteous (not even teasing me about my terrible attempts at speaking French or the fact that we locked ourselves out of our room within an hour of check-in) and they went out of their way to... This is a lovely little hotel. Rooms are tastefully decorated and staff is friendly. Breakfast has a limited selection, but everything on offer is of excellent quality. My main complain is the very bad sound isolation of the rooms. Luckily my neighbour was very quiet, but I could hear every word during his daily phone calls to his family. The... More

We reserved a suite - a room with a very nice sitting area in which our family was able to gather. The bathroom was still very very small even with the higher level accommodation. The elevator was quite small, so we just walked up several floors to our room. The breakfast buffet was adequate but nothing special. Most rooms are... More

Dear Guest, Thank you kindly for posting your feedback on TripAdvisor following your stay in Paris last december. We are happy you enjoyed your room even though it was small. Like most of Paris hotels of our category, it is true that our rooms are not huge but their smallness and the adequate equipment as well as the decoration makes... More

With very little effort this could be a really good hotel in its class. Its a comfortable clean and pleasant environment in a very nice part of Paris. some attention to detail like hall lights will not be amiss

Good points: , very nice location, good price, nice personnel, good breakfast, quiet night. Negative point: small room (could be fine) but really small bath room (if somebody is not very slim it could be a problem ...).

Oct20-23, 2014 As advertised the rooms were small, but very clean, nice beds, small bathroom. Great location(10 minutes to the Eiffel Tower) lots of restaurant, and cafes nearby, and close to the Passy Metro stop. The stake was great, Dante was very helpful as was everyone else. We would recommend and stay again

My wife and I and my inlaws stayed three nights at the Hotel Gavarni towards the end of our vacation in France and the main reason for staying here was the price for this location. There aren't very many quality hotels located near the Eiffel Tower for reasonable prices but this one did the job for us. And it's located... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
