The hotel is perfectly located for the purpose of my trip and the reception staff were very helpful. I really liked the space in the reception / foyer areas. However, the rooms are small and the spaces in the bedrooms are badly planned.

Lovely hotel in great location. Rooms were a bit small but they were clean and appropriate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was nice too. Only a short walk into the centre (20minutes). Would recommend and definitely would stay here again.

The Ibis Hotel Bastille Opera is in a good location to tour Paris. It is very close to the Metro and is tucked into a quiet spot one block off the main street. There are many cafes and restuarants close by. The rooms are very small, with almost no storage. The showers worked well, but the shower stall may be... More

Over all the stay here was ok ….but just OK, I have experienced better from IBIS. The check in was super-fast as I had checked in online. When I arrived at the hotel (at 10am) the room was ready. After dropping off the bags we went to explore Paris! On our return later in the it was evident that the... More

The hotel is well located (1 block from Sabine-Breguet Metro Station and 3 blocks from Bastille), clean and neat. The staff is helpful and interested in helping the guests. Rooms standard, but with a slightly larger bathroom than I found in other Ibis around the world.

Stayed here three nights in December. The hotel was in a very good area close to two metro lines and walking distance to a great area. As with other Ibis hotels we have stayed at very clean but small room. We would stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Just back from a 3 night stay. I highly recommend it. The hotel is 5 mins walk away from the Metro. On the same line for Le Louvre, Champs Elyses, etc.. Rooms are tiny but have large king size beds and lovely pillows. Tiny bathroom but hey it's Paris and you just need to sleep there! Fabulous Bistros everywhere. Food fantastic,... More

Good hotel, expected standard of an Ibis. Rooms a bit on the small side (especially with a travel ckt), however couldn't fault it. Good shower, clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent staff. Ate in the restaurant for breakfasts, one evening meal and a snack (over 4 days). Good selection for breakfast. In walking distance to a number of metro stations, mini... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
