Stayed here with a tour group. Hotel is nice, clean. Nice breakfast. Good location for transportation to center of Paris. Neighborhood has a few good restaurants, shopping, etc. Easy walk to Metro. Unique in that hotel is comprised of a few separate buildings.

We stayed here for 3 nights, 2 rooms. It was clean and comfortable with Coffee in the room - a plus! The Executive Room was a good size, but the other couple said their Classic Room was extremely small for 2 people to walk around in. The staff was very accommodating with directions, car service, etc. The buffet breakfast was... More

Great hotel, from the minute you walk in, the staff makes you feel very welcomed. At first I thought this was a boutique hotel, but was I for a surprise. It consist of several building surrounding a beautiful courtyard where they serve an amazing breakfast. We were in the Eiffel building. Our room was perfect for the short time we... More

Very comfortable and unusually large rooms. Very clean, with nice amenities, although a little stingey on the soap. The location is fantastic - right on the edge of the Marais and away from the main touristy areas. The hotel is also very close to the metro (St Sebastien-Froissart), and it is simple to get to the hotel, even with luggage.... More

I stayed at this hotel with friends for three nights. I will start with the good: 1. Customer service at the front desk was great. Thank you Christopher for all of your help. The concierge secured trips for us and was a great asset to ensuring that we made the most of our trip. Daniel (the bellman) was great at... More

The Hotel Les Jardins du Marais is a beautiful boutique hotel in the fancy Marais district of Paris. It was an absolute delight. It has a courtyard with a restaurant, seating areas, tables and chairs and it is near restaurants and the Metro. It is a quiet respite in an otherwise busy city, Paris. We were with a group tour... The accommodations at this hotel were fabulous and the grounds were charming. The room was clean and exceed expectations of a hotel at this price range. The front desk help inconsistent! There were extremely helpful staff and others that were not so helpful! The breakfast was great for meat eaters, but there was not a lot of healthy stuff for... More

My second trip and I returned as a side trip after the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam because I like the location near the Metro and the fact that it is within walking distance to my favorite tea salon and restaurent in Les Marais. Eating at an umbrella -shaded table for dinner on the courtyard is pleasant as is... More

Loved the look and feel of this hotel. Once we walked in the main lobby was decorated very cool and the staff were very friendly upon our checkin. The rooms although on the smaller side, they were very comfortable for what we needed and we enjoyed the larger shower compared to other European hotels we had stayed at. The free... More

We are a family of 4 that arrived from taking the Eurostar train from London. Due to travel times we arrived pretty late at night, but the hotel had prepared a room for us with a double bed plus two single beds (side by side). However this was located in the far far away part of the hotel, and after... More

Staying in Bastille / Oberkampf

Neighborhood Profile
Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighborhood.
