I stayed in this hotel with my family, my parents and my daughter. We booked a family suite but in reality it was two interconnecting rooms. The wifi wasn't great as it wouldn't allow more than one device to be connected at the same time and would often cut out multiple times. Very frustrating. we stayed on the fifth floor... More

We stayed here for 4 nights last week. Booked 2 connecting family rooms (for 2 adults & 3 kids) that suited our family just fine. The place was somewhat dated & tired but the beds & bathrooms were comfortable & hotel was generous with extra pillows & towels. The staff were very friendly & honest. After a terrifying experience arriving... More

I visit this part of Paris about once a year for business. I first stayed here about a year ago and was quite satisfied. The location is very good and the price (by Paris standards) represents good value. This time I was a bt less satisfied because my room could have done with a new carpet and there was a... More

Close to the metro, to nice eateries and to shops where we could buy our own breakfast on the go, this little hotel was perfect for our needs. The shower was hot, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were warm and free wifi was lovely to come home to. We had some issues with electricity flow - trying to charge... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon trip to three different cities in Europe, and this was the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our entire vacation. Our room was on the 5th floor and we had a beautiful rooftop view of the other Parisian buildings and the patio, and we loved how the windows... More

Location location location... add that to comfortable beds and an excellent shower and who cares that this is a dingy, badly decorated, falling apart hotel where the TV does work, the main doors have to be pried open by Hercules and the staff is... well, Parisian. For $80 a night this was just right for us....

Unfortunately is like a representation of a standard Parisian hotel. water leaks in the front desk and corridors, the alarm rang at 4:30 am (evacuation of the hotel) because a bad installation, no hot water (cold shower in autumn doing wrong) and to complement the breakfast was not ready on time.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
