Great location close to Vavin Metro, good restaurants, patisseries & supermarket. Walking distance to many of Paris' wonderful sights. Staff friendly & helpful. There was a very small kitchenette in the room however we had to pay E15 for our 8 night stay for a tub containing kettle, cups, plates, cutlery & pots. It was worth it however I believe... More

I've been to Paris three times before and should have known better than to stay in that area. The area's near Notre Dame have far more restaurants, shops etc. The Hotel staff weren't particularly helpful or pleasant, except for one chap. The rooms are warn, stained bedspread, stained towels, scarred walls and a lumpy mattress. we had our morning coffee... More

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights. We felt safe in this hotel, as it is near a lot of cafe and restaurants. Metro , line 4 and 6 , is very close. It was easy to go to the hotel from the airport by train, RER. All the staff helped us, when we asked them .If I go... More

A reasonably priced hotel. Good quality rooms if a little small. Excellent location. 5 minutes walk from the trainto the airport. Five minutes walk to the beautiful Luxembourg gardens and palace, to the metro station, the tour buses and the Montpernasse tower. Short metro ride to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre etc. We would stay there again.

Decent hotel at an affordable price. They allowed us to check in early which was nice. Has all of the basics hotel necessities. Location right near metro and taxi stand. The hotel staff seemed to be very accommodating.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was very nice! we felt very safe, as we are two girls in our early 20s traveling alone. Metro was very close. And there were good restaurants around. All of the staff spoke very good English and we're happy to help give directions and answer questions! The room was small, we got a... More

Good location hotel, standard rooms, a bit old, but with a kitchenette, decent service. A special word of thanks to Stephane at the reception who was exceptionally helpful with problems I had during my 12day stay (plugs not working, bathtub blocked, etc).

Falsely touted as "newly refurbished" rooms - old carpeting, old banged up furniture, paneling on walls, dusty smell especially in hallways, looks like there haven't been any upgrades in 50 years. Maybe the "refurbished rooms" got a coat of paint but that's it... Friendly staff but seemed hampered by outdated computer system - had lots of paper files and couldn't... More

Nice hotel close to Gare Montparnasse and Jardin du Luxembourg. Good to have microwave but fridge didn't work. I had contacted the hotel to ask for a room with a view of Tour Montparnasse and a balcony and my request was met. Good area to explore and experience the real Parisien life away from tourist areas.

I stayed in this hotel with my family, my parents and my daughter. We booked a family suite but in reality it was two interconnecting rooms. The wifi wasn't great as it wouldn't allow more than one device to be connected at the same time and would often cut out multiple times. Very frustrating. we stayed on the fifth floor... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
