We got a room called Delux: a very small room, where the bed takes most of it. The bathroom door is so close to the bed, you can hear any activity there! Furthermore, bathroom door cannot be closed. Breakfast is given across the street, in a 4* hotel owned by the same proprieter: stingy and poor choice, no bufet. For... More

This was a good hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are much larger than average in Europe overall. It was like an upgraded Embassy Suites. The desk was helpful and the location is what made it great. Within 5 minutes walking in any direction you will find tons of restaurants. Now, I did have an issue with the shower... More

Accomodation was perfect for us (a couple in our fifties)-2 room suite on 6th floor - huge comfortable bed, nice, separate sitting room and spacious bathroom. The kitchen corner with fridge and microwave was adequate for breakfast and snacks which suited us fine, but would be hopeless if you wanted to cook meals. The lift was even smaller than other... Highly recommended, especially if you want to feel like you're right in the middle of Paris. Great location, steps from everything on a very charming street in the Latin quarter. A block away from the Place St. Michel, a very good restaurant two doors down, other restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance, and an internet cafe on the same... More

Me, Mom and my sister stayed at Residence Des Arts August 8-12, 2006. When we travel, we prefer value level suite-type accomodation for space and comfort. The Residence Des Arts is really more of an apt building, tiny lobby entrance, no lobby staff. The finally touches of a lobby renovation being done when we arrived, we smelled fumes of the... More

This hotel is located in the most picture-postcard perfect area of Paris, seconds from the St. Michel Fountain and the St.Michel/Notre-Dame Metro & RER stops. There are many one-lane narrow roads, cafes, stores, and other shops that you would typically expect to see in Paris. The hotel itself is cute, even has been retro-fitted with a tiny, unique elevator that... More

Room is Big! We stayed in a suite with two babies. Small Bedroom but big living room with sofa, dining table, lots of furniture. Old carpet was covered with a better one. Big nice and clean bathroom with bath and shower. We had asked for 2 baby cribs and were provided with them upon our arrival at the hotel. However,... More

We recently stayed in the one of the suites that sleeps 3-4 people. It was the perfect size for 2 adults and 2 children. When we checked in there was no record of the baby cot (crib) we had requested but one was provided very quickly for us. The staff spoke great English and were very helpful. The room was... More

Just spent my birthday in Paris and had a wonderful time as it was dry all week and not too cold for January. Hotel des Arts in a convenient location, nearest metro stops are Abesses and Pigalle, within walking distance of Sacre Coeur and lots of local bars/restaurants. My only negative comment would be the poor breakfast which you have... More

The Hotel Residence des Arts is a charming hotel that captures the feeling of St. Germain des Pres. The rooms, suites actually, have slightly irregular dimensions. However, they are generously sized for a couple. The bathroom has all mod cons. The hotel is clean although some of the furniture and carpets in our room had stains that didn't bother us,... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
