We were delighted by our stay at the Residence des Arts in Paris. The location was perfect for our needs. The room was a bit small but exactly as we expected for a center city hotel of this nature. It was clean and neat and comfortable. The staff at the desk were friendly and very responsive and helpful for all... More

Although it's not sitting in the hart of the VIème, Residence des Arts is walking distance from the boutiques, cafés and the trendies..it works as a Residence with a very helpful management, a nice reception in their hotel, on the other side of the street..nearby a Boulangerie (around the corner) with the best croissants - so have your breakfast right... We stayed here for two nights and were very satisfied. The location was absolutely perfect (although the Irish bar over the road had some fairly raucous football fans partying and setting fireworks off down the road on the first night, which was slightly alarming, but not a real problem). The nearest metro station was just at the end of the... More

Just returned from a family break stay at this wonderful hotel. Location couldn't be better and the hotel room had the facilities of a small apartment with its own kitchenette and large bathroom. My only small gripe would be that the room was always dark due to the dark decode and little natural light coming in from the narrow street... More

It has been a little over a week since we returned from our vacation at Residence Des Arts, and our family misses this hotel very much. During our eight days there, the hotel really felt like home. We stayed on the 6th floor in a junior suite that is huge by any standards. The suite was very nicely decorated and... More

I choosed again this hotel despite the high price because it is really in the center of one of the most interesting parts of Paris, the latin quarter. I have been here for the first time in 2006, and I really enjoyed the fantastic position between NotreDame, the Orsay museum and the boulevard de St. Germain. In addition, in place... More

Only bettered by its parent hotel, Villa D'Estrees (www.villadestrees.com) over the road which is actually where you check in. The room was very large with a compact kitchenette comprising a two ring hob, full fridge, kettle, microwave and basic cutlery, pans and tableware. The living room was decorated in the same chic style as the large bedroom, all in typical... More

This charming hotel in the original Paris, small streets crammed with cafes, bars, lovely restaurants, is absolutely in the right place. Eccentrically and elegantly decorated with very helpful, friendly and dedicated staff

We were there for 6 nights. We loved the location, the room, the junior suite - especially the kitchenette, it was great to be able to prepare coffee or tea at anytime and have cheese and wine and pastries available. Beds are very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and effective. (Internet went out twice and fixed quickly). One all nighter-noisy... More

We were here for five nights and Loved it! The location is wonderful with a quick walk to Notre Dame, The Seine, cafes, and the metro. But the room was lovely! It was very large, beautifully appointed, grand bathroom and felt more like a flat than hotel. We could walk steps to grab a crepe, baguette sandwich or wine! Very... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
