We were there for 6 nights. We loved the location, the room, the junior suite - especially the kitchenette, it was great to be able to prepare coffee or tea at anytime and have cheese and wine and pastries available. Beds are very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and effective. (Internet went out twice and fixed quickly). One all nighter-noisy... More

We were here for five nights and Loved it! The location is wonderful with a quick walk to Notre Dame, The Seine, cafes, and the metro. But the room was lovely! It was very large, beautifully appointed, grand bathroom and felt more like a flat than hotel. We could walk steps to grab a crepe, baguette sandwich or wine! Very... More

We spent five nights in this fabulous Latin Quarter location in October, and liked, but didn't love the hotel itself. The room itself, a junior suite I think, was nice enough, if a little on the older side. There was enough room to move, the tall ceilings are great, and the art in the room is nice. It was also... Second stay here. Nicely furnished, great central location and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Room service is available but we didn't use it (we walked next door to their cafe for a drink). Would stay here again.

We spent two nights at Hotel Residence des Arts (November 12-14, 2014). The location is great - near the Metro, RER, lots of restaurants, and within easy walking distance to so much of Paris. I did not experience the noise level that other guests mentioned. We were on the 5th floor (6th in U.S. terms), which may have helped. The... More

Location of the hotel is great. It's very convenient for RER to CDG and also Metro and there are plenty of restaurant nearby. However the noise from the street/pub makes take the rating down. You need to use earplugs or be out late yourself to enjoy this hotel. I would not stay here again. It is a pity since the... More

The suite that we had was large and very comfortable, equipped with all the amenities. It gives the feeling of Old Paris-our rooms had a Mansard roof and windows. Fortunately, it has an elevator, so getting to the sixth floor, was not a problem. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They provided us with a fairly extensive list of... More

The service was great, 24hours & very friendly staff who were very accomodating & trustworthy. We stayed on level 4 opposite the main building to the reception but I found it to still be just as secure. Our room was a junior suite & we were pleasantly surprised at its size with the room having a small kitchen, shower, bathtub... More

This was the fourth time I've stayed in this hotel! The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable and very clean. The location is great, close to the metro and within walking distance to the main spots if you fancy walk. There are plenty of nice restaurants and bakeries around and the atmosphere is lively and vibrant. The hotel staff is very... More

This hotel fancies themselves as a 4 star hotel but they are not even close. Although their location is ideal for restaurants, cafes, transport, Notre Dame, the Louvre, etc...the hotel is tired, drab and dingy. The free wifi was almost nonexistent, no reception on the 4th floor. They said they were having trouble but after 4 days, that excuse didn't... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
