This is a hotel, close to Montparnasse, is an easy walk to the metro. The staff were exceptional, the rooms were nicely decorated, clean and efficient with window opening to the street below. Breakfast was really nicely done in a sweet room off the lobby. In the afternoon there is also complimentary wine and water available to guests. There is... More

Wonderful hotel for our first family visit to Paris. The staff was very helpful, especially Emile. There were 16 of us, grandkids, children and grandparents. Location was good, close to two different metro stops. We did get he address mixed up with Vaugirard Blvd so we wandering around Paris for awhile pulling our suitcases. The breakfast was outstanding and the... More

Such a great value hotel! The area the hotel is in is stunning and has many cute restaurants and shops to explore. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and quiet. We walked everywhere in Paris and this hotel was a great base to explore from. Also, the hotel staff are so wonderful and helpful! They made restaurant bookings for us,... More

The Aviatic Hotel Saint Germain is home whenever we find ourselves in Paris. A 3 star hotel that is not a 4 or 5 because of simple reasons, there is no pool (remember we're in the middle of Paris here), and there is no gym nor restaurant. The reasons for this are simply because the Aviatic is an outstanding boutique... More

My wife and I, together with another couple, stayed at the Aviatic Hotel for seven nights. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were also very good - lovely French bread, pastries, cheeses, cereal, ham, eggs, fresh fruit etc etc. The hotel staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful. Emile and Gael provided exceptional... More

I would definitely recommend the hotel. The front desk staff were genuine and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble, and our stay was great rather than good because of their contribution. The room - although small - had plenty of storage (thank goodness). A well appointed room and lovely and clean. My only suggestion would be to include the basic... More

The people behind the front desk are outstanding. Making reservations through their Facebook page gave us the best rate and included a very decent breakfast. Rate was just 127 Euros. Don't be afraid to have a bottle of wine from the room's honor bar...it's just 8.50 Euros. A one block walk gets you to the Metro which gets you pretty... More

I've been to this hotel twice...once in May 2013 and once in May 2015. I absolutely loved my first experience. There was a welcome gift in the room (nice bottle of white wine), fluffy white robes and slippers in the closet, a nice selection of toiletries, and a remarkably comfortable bed. Based on that experience, I booked the hotel again... More

We had to have 2 rooms to accommodate the 4 in our family. Rooms were no frills, but clean, comfortable and seemed updated. We really only slept here as we were out all day. Breakfast good and efficient, friendly assistant. Aperitifs at night. Shout out to Emil who was extremely helpful in making suggestions, helping us navigate the metro, and... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
