So Exciting to See a Filming Crew in the lobby and in front of the hotel It really seems strange to try to walk into your hotel and are stopped and told to cross the street. But, it is MY hotel. Everyone is so excited because a famous movie director from Georgia (formerly of the Soviet Union) is filming a... More

This hotel deserves a wonderful review!! Built in 1877 I believe, it is a grand old lady right in the centre of Paris. Step outside the door and you are looking at the Louvre. The Metro, the stores, the restaurants are all within a few seconds walk. The staff are just fabulous and helpful! But as a constant traveler, (I... More

I stayed at the Normandy the weekend before last and loved it. The location is perfect - very close to both Pyramides and Louvre metro stations and within easy walking distance of the Tuileries, Palais Royal and many other attractions. Our room was enormous and well appointed and the staff were friendly and helpful.... after reading some of the reviews... More

We spent 5 days at another hotel (Napoleon) in Paris that was fantastic but our return flight was cancelled and thus needed a room for one night. First, we booked and paid for a “Triple Room” (409 Sq. ft.) but they put us in a “Classic Double” (172 Sq. ft.) without telling us or adjusting the price. But even putting... More

The Normandy's location is superb with such close proximity to the majority of Paris's much loved tourist attractions. The Louvre and the rue de Rivoli are extremely close, while the Opera Garnier, the Tuileries, the Palais Royal and Notre Dame are only minutes away. Musee d'Orsay, Place Vendome and Galeries Lafayette are also within easy walking distance. Our room on... More

I arrived at the hotel and checked-in as a I normally do. I took my baggage to my room in the second floor. I tried to get into my room, unfortunately the key or the door was broken. I was already horrified by the appearance of the lock or door. Therefore I made my way back to the lobby and... More

The location of this Hotel is in a fantastic place close to everything, but the actual Hotel is terrible. The photos that were on tripadvisor look like they have been photoshopped because the actual rooms, staff, amenities were shocking. The rooms are extremely old (I know Paris rooms are small - that is OK), but bed very very uncomfortable, bathroom... More

We were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. We decided to come without any particular expectations and make up our own minds. Yes, it is conveniently located. Helpful staff without any exceptions in our experience. Rooms are certainly old, but very clean. Bathroom and beds quite adequate. Working frig and WiFi, fan only for cooling, but no time... More

The rooms are run down and have not even been repainted in decades. The staff seems completely indifferent to guests. We arrived three people with one room each and there were for people behind the reception desk, one person checked us in one at a time while the three others were chatting with each other. That is not an acceptable... More

Great location 5 min walk from Louvre museum. Most sights are near by, same with metro, hop on hop off buses and tourist bureau. Several restaurants/cafees on street level. The hotel itself was well on overtime, in spite on the comments here I was a bit shocked.. It has not been renovated for decades, the charm of what could have... More
