Our family rented two rooms at Hotel Chopin for two nights. It is located in a lovely passage with restaurants and bakeries right outside the door. The metro station is very close. No AC, but fans were provided. We felt very safe here. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, and spoke enough english for us to understand. The rooms were small,... More

We stayed here as part of a week-long trip to Paris, visiting all of the touristy sites and spending a lot of time away from the hotel. With that said, Hotel Chopin is located conveniently near the Grands Boulevards metro station, a Chipotle (we had to go once!), and a number of fresh fruit markets and bakeries. The decor in... We have stayed here twice now - we love its old world charm. The staff are lovely and always helpful. The hotel's location is ideal - a short walk from Opera Garnier and there are two Metro lines close by which will get you to most places. We will definitely be going back.

If you want character and history in a great location this is the hotel for you. I stayed here for four nights with two friends who were very dubious and suggested we leave before we had even checked in! How wrong they were. This hotel is over 200 years old and very traditional, with a large staircase and a small... More

Very convenient location in easy walking distance to Moulin Rouge, Paris Opera house, St Lazarre station Louvre and Marais district and in the other direction Champs Elyssee. we found a Laundromat in a back street nearby and handy little supermarket and budget eateries as well as modest cafes nearby. The only downer was that WFI was chronically bad but nearby... More

We stayed for an all too brief three nights. Centrally located in the Passage Jouffroy, with the nearest metro stop just a few yards away. Quirky, and with a tiny breakfast room, but clean and reasonably priced. The fresh orange juice machine is an added extra! We will be back!

Hotel Chopin is situated at the end of an old passage which has interesting shops. Very old hotel with reasonable accommodation. Situated off a busy street but our room was quiet. Close to Metro and Hop-on Hop off bus stop

It is always a great pleasure to stay at Hotel Chpin inside the Passage Jouffroy: quiet and with an opulent charm. This time was extra rewarding since the staff upon my request for a convivial restaurant in the vicinity directed myself and daughter to Restaurant le petit Riche just a stone-throw away from the Hotel, and which proved a bull's-eye... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
