An amazing honeymoon
This hotel is situated inside Passage Jouffroy. (I found the picture of this hotel in quite a few photography books about Paris.) It is small but very charming. The hotel staff was excellent and helpful. The room was clean and adequate. Breakfast was convenient. (However, just step outside to the Passage and you have lots of choices.) Overall, I definitely... more
Very nice hotel, close to the Opera, and walking distance from the Louvre ( 10 min. ). The hotel is located in a small shopping mall, so away from traffic and noise. Next to the hotel on " Grand Boulevard " you can find the Hardrock Cafe Paris, where you can eat well for a good price. A tip is... more
We loved this hotel. Excellent price for a hotel in Paris. Rooms are small but the bathroom was a good size and very clean. Appreciated the freshly squeezed juice in the breakfast room and enjoyed watching the juicer produce it in front of our eyes. The covered Passage Jouffrey where the hotel is situated has gorgeous wee Parisian shops and... more
The Chopin was in a word "quaint". The hotel has a typically old world appeal. So for some, the Chopin will be charming. However, it you're expecting the mordern conveniences of an Omni (e.g. wifi, cable tv), for example, this might not be the place for you. Yet for a price-minded vacation traveler this is a good find. The staff... more
We had discovered the Chopin on an earlier visit to Paris and thought it would be a charming and convenient place to stay on our next visit. Charmant? Oui. Convenient? So so and certainly not for a business traveler. Paris was a stop on the way to a business conference in the Mideast and we were laden with suitcases including... more
We wanted a hotel near the centre, especially Galeries Lafayette and the like: several of the TripAdvisor listings seemed to fit, but this one stood out, mainly for its unique location right inside one of the passage couvertes. In the event, it was way beyond expectations ~ not because of any exceptional luxury, but simply because it was the perfect... more
Great location, very central. A few steps from the metro Grands Boulevards. Very quiet room at night but noisy during the day (Kindergarten nearby for sure...) Very old but very charming hotel, wonderful entrance. Great breakfast to start the day walking in Paris... Nice room but very uncomfortable beds...it's was awful. I had a hard time sleeping even if I... more
Got to Paris after an 18 hr flight from oz - arrived at the Chopin with the news that my booking was for the following three nights not including the night that I was standing in their foyer - very helpful they were and found me alternative accomodation for that first night close by - back to the chopin the... more
Location Great, near the Opera, the Louvre, walking distance to lots of attractions and with two subway stations within one block. More than that, despite the fact you're in a busy avenue (which gives you plenty of restaurant choices), the hotel is inside a gallery, so way in the back, what makes the rooms very silent. Price About $90 Euros... more
