I was very disappointed in this hotel on a couple of levels. 1st the room was very expensive yet not very well appointed. We reserved the "loft apartment" which was more like an abandoned apartment with a few pieces of mismatched furniture. There was no effort to decorate or add character or charm. The apartment was essentially a one bedroom... More

Really enjoyed our stay - such a great location, friendly staff - we were upgraded to a small apartment over the road - we were not sure about this at first - but it meant we could prepare our own breakfasts and buy food from the many surrounding deli's and bakeries and wine shops. All our favourite labels and shops... More

I had the privilege to stay at this property, located in the Marais district. Being a 17th century building the rooms are typically small, but the character of this hotel far surpasses its size! The staff is helpful and extremely friendly, the room comfortable and clean. I will highly recommend this property for those seeking affordable accommodation in central Paris.

A group of 8 of us stayed here in early June. This hotel is small and charming. Wonderful staff who could not be more helpful. The hotel is perfectly located and just off the Place des Vosges (a wonderful square) with lots of restaurants nearby. We had a great time and would certainly recommend this hotel for a stay in... I looked up the reviews for this hotel while recently reminiscing about our trip to Paris in 1989. My wife and I stayed here for eight nights in November and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Perhaps we were fortunate to have a wonderful room facing front, #41, which though small, had a surprisingly huge and beautiful remodeled... More

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend stay at this charming hotel. The hotel a beautifully renovated historical building is in a fantastic location, quiet street and in the amazing (and our favourite area) Marais district close to metro and buses… or alternatively so much to explore on foot. The warmth of the welcome and the helpfulness and kindness... More

I stayed here years ago and loved it. You can't beat the price and the staff was so sweet. Yes. it was a bit small, but it's Paris.... the location was perfect. It was very quaint. Very fond memories.

The location is superb- just off the famous Place des Vosges in the wonderful Marais area of Paris. For this location, the hotel is well priced. We were told that all the rooms were recently redone. Ours was up to date, very stylish, and properly kept, albeit somewhat small, but what do you expect at this price level in a... More

This little gem is centrally located on a quiet street that empties into a beautiful little park. I stay three nights - my room small, cozy and immaculate. Stan, Front Desk Manager, is fantastic: by the time you leave - you'll feel like you found a new friend. He'll help you navigate the city, offer suggestions and just be of... More

We stayed on Des Vosges for three nights, hotel is very basic, but at this price you can't really ask for more. The place is nice and simple, rooms are that much big but it was clean, stuff was very pleasant. The breakfast is piece of baguette and coffee. Hotel is close to the metro and markets. Overall hotel is... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
