We had heard great things about Hotel Relais St. Germain from friends and different sources as well as reading about it in a Delta in-flight magazine. All the accolades were true! We arrived very early (5:50 AM! good tail winds) and relaxed in a sitting room (ok I napped). They had said the room wasn't ready (no surprise). We headed... More

I had a great stay here while visiting my daughter who is studying in France. Service was excellent, the breakfast at Le Comptoir (the hotel restaurant) was superb, as was the dinner my daughter and I enjoyed. It's a benefit of staying at the hotel as guests have priority for reservations. Location couldn't be beat for a Paris visit- right... More

I am sorry to be writing this review because once I share how wonderful it is, I am afraid I will no longer be able to get a room. This is a small, wonderfully charming hotel a block off Boulevard Saint-Germain. I booked well in advance and the communication via email with Gilles was a tremendous help. He booked a... More

Spent our 40th anniversary here and was very impressed with the service and room/suite ambiance. Lovely little boutique hotel in a superb location to walk to the Orsay, Louvre, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens. Food was tremendous as befits the French TV 'masterchef' who is the owner.

We stayed there last July because of Trip Advisor high number. I am writing so others don't repeat our mistake. We booked a year in advance for July and asked for a quiet room. First night our air conditioner was broken, told it would be fixed, it wasn't we were given a fan, and no discount for our inconvenience. Second... More

This hotel is a delight, our room had a sitting room separate es from the bedroom be large ancient wooden posts. The ceiling also had large wooden beams and the original wooden corner posts were also evident in the marble bathroom, giving the whole room a sense of Parisian history. We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly staff who... More

Ideally located nearby Odeon theater, boulevard St Germain, Café Flore, opposite to my favourite bar-Restaurant Les Editeurs, this hôtel is the true charming dream one would hope to find in St. Germain. Excellent food (the restaurant belongs to a famous French Chef) original rooms, perfect service (somewhat obsequious but very high class)... What else can one dream of? ONLY problem,... More

Hotel Relais Saint-Germain is a lovely, small hotel on the left bank. Some of the rooms have private gardens, a definite plus, bur all the rooms are comfortable, and beautifully decorated. There is a room for breakfast which is satisfactory but not great. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
