Classic Parisian hotel. Well presented, clean and comfortable hotel with tasteful and balanced décor and furnishings. Good range of (small) lobby, library, internet etc access. Small Parisian elevator!! Associated and next door to famous Le Comptoir bistro - great for breakfast and book tables through hotel reception for a firm dining opportunity and time (there is always a line for... More

The hotel relais and attached restaurant is located in walking distance of everything we wanted to see, from the louvre to the Eiffel tower. It has divine rooms and superb service, nothing was too much trouble, a warm, welcoming experience, can't wait to return.

I could not fault our stay at this charming little hotel. The rooms are small, as is typical in Paris, but beautifully decorated in French style. You almost feel like you are staying in a family home, a feeling further enhanced by the warmth and friendliness of all the staff throughout the hotel. We loved it more than I can... More

Although we have been to Paris on many occasions, this trip was our first stay at Hotel Relais Saint-Germain. We are very discerning travelers when it comes to hotel accommodations - we like authenticity, charm, cleanliness, incredible locations and a sense of luxury and style without being stuffy or pretentious. This hotel had it all. The room was spacious and... More

We have been to Paris many times before and this was our best vacation. Hotel location is great . I love Saint Germain area. Most of the front desk persons are very nice except one or two persons. The rooms are lovely old furniture which adds to the charm of the hotel. Ours was Guy de Maupassant. Very spacious deluxe... More

We have stayed in this hotel twice and will be again, this coming spring. It's a well run, clean, friendly place in a super location. The rooms are all a little different, and we stayed in two different ones; one was a little bigger so obviously if you can afford it, go for the extra room. But if you can't,... More

We needed a hotel for a night prior to renting an apt. Since this is our favorite area and we like Le Comptoir, we thought we'd give it a try. Small room but very cozy and nice view of the square. It was warm out and the AC wasn't working so they had a portable ac in the room- it... More

I was looking for a small and intimate hotel with a french flair and certainly found it at Hotel Relais Saint-Germain. The hotel only has about 3 rooms per floor. The rooms are a nice size, clean and are beautifully decorated with big windows with lovely window boxes - they make the room nice and bright. The staff is very... More

This was a return visit to the hotel. We were not disappointed. We had a junior suite which was both lovely and spacious. It was always very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
