Truly a delight! Comfortable, welcoming boutique hotel conveniently located around the corner from the Metro (which is doubly important when the Paris taxis are on strike!). A huge, comfortable room (particularly by Paris standards), immaculately clean and decorated in keeping with the style of the building. Well worth booking Le Comptoir (the hotel's tiny but charming restaurant) for an authentic,... More

I've stayed in this hotel twice now and had family and friends stay a number of times. It's a lovely little hotel in a great area. Right near Odeon metro which makes it very convenient generally and handy for the metro from gare du nord if your coming in on the Eurostar. Rooms are all unique and lovely, fairly compact... More

We had room with the hammam (per our request) that we loved. But they switched us to another room on 3rd and 4th day that was awful! We thought we were being upgraded but it was a downgrade! Due to the miscommunication, they thought we agreed to move rooms to allow another reservation book our room for a longer stay.... More

Approaching a little ennui about Christmas and my birthday being on the same day AGAIN!, I decided to visit to this lovely hotel and my favorite Paris neighborhood (St Suplice, Luxemborg Gardens, Deux Magots) for a week. I picked this hotel because the rooms are named for French authors. Later I discovered the popularity of their restaurant where Hotel guests... More

We have finally found our Paris home. We were welcomed and taken care of by the entire staff of the hotel and restaurant. Everyone, the Concierge, Maitre De, Waitstaff and Bellman were kind, helpful and friendly. Our room oozed Parisian charm and overlooked our favorite intersection in Paris. The food....what can I say, PERFECTION, With the perfect breakfast , Le... More

The hotel is in a very convenient location for travelers, just 2 minutes away from metro station. Walking distance to patheon. The most amazing experience came from there French continental breakfast buffet, the food is really presented well and delicious. There is one star missing because the room is small and appears to be different from what is described in... More

The hotel staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurant is over the top delicious! Love the location on the bustling Rue Saint-Germain. The rooms are spacious. Our room faced the street so a bit noisy with the windows open, and there is no air ventilation in the rooms. I would go back and stay in a heart beat!

If you're looking for something serene and hidden away, this probably isn't it, and if you can't deal with stairs, this isn't it...But I really enjoyed this hotel. The location is right behind the Odeon metro, a very convenient and busy spot, though tucked just out of the way of the main drag. My room was on the top floor,... More

Spent three nights here in early December. We usually stay at one or other Sofitel in Paris but like the area of l'Odeon so much that we took a chance here, and we're glad we did. We had a Junior Suite - 34 - that was just delightful, with old beams, space and comfort, lovely view over the Carrefour de... More

You are really in the heart of Saint-Germain. Near everything. Charming small hotel with very nice staff. Nice and espacious rooms, of course not very big since its a 18-19 century building, but with all the confort needed. On top the hotel restaurant, Le Comptoir (Y. Canderborde) is a must. Breakfast is also very good. We always keep coming back.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
