Booked this hotel because of its name and expected something amazing. However I was disappointed on the arrival service and their system was down and had to wait to be served. Followed by a small room. The location is very good but very bad for taxis when you depart. The hotel calls for a taxi but had to pay the... More

The first time I visited was on 15th July. I was a bit disappointed because the room they gave us was a room that's really hot. And the water on the shower keeps boiling, so it's very hot, and I have to take a bath in the bathub. But, eventually they gave us another room that is better & free... More

I stayed on Saturday July 18th, 2015. I parked my car outside and walked in to the concierge who was helping other clients. While I was waiting for him to finish, he asked me if I could go to the reception for help with an attitude, probably thinking that I was trying to check in. I knew the receptionist could... More

Hotel Balzac. I have just been at Hotel Balzac, if you are looking for a luxury hotel in Paris that’s the one. It’s a well located hotel one block from the Champs-Élysées. Although, it is so close to the avenue the street of the hotel is very quiet. The service is superb. All staff is very polite, friendly and helpful.... More

We loved our suite at Hotal Balzac and the staff was exceedingly pleasant to us. Unfortunately, we were there during the major heat wave and apparently the AC doesn't work during extreme temperatures. We sweat to death, day and night. A shower was a very temporary solution. They brought us a fan but that didn't help much either and sleeping... More

My first visit to Paris had to be in luxury (if only for a few nights). This hotel is tucked up behind Champs Elysse and is mere steps to the Arc de Triomphe and Metro George V. Tiny (compared to other countries but normal for Paris) rooms with decadent chintz furnishings, luxurious bedding and a delicious bathroom. I was most... More

Great location with the hotel being a 2 minute walk from Champs-Élysées, hop on, hop off buses and general transport. The rooms were lovely, comfortable beds, tall verandah doors out to Parisian scenes and to our surprise, the top of the Eiffel Tower. Staff were very friendly, particularly the concierge team and Michel, who provided some excellent guide and restaurant... More

We stayed here for the second time on our annual trip to the French Open at Roland Garros. It has a fantastic classic Parisian feel about the hotel; with its small size it is full of character with lovely furnishings inside the reception and bedrooms. The location of the hotel could not be better - it is basically on the... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay last weekend to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Would highly recommend to others visiting Paris, good location off... More

Staying in Champs-Elysees

Neighborhood Profile
Champs-Elysees
This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.
