I stay at this hotel every time I am in Paris and love it. I have over time stayed in a number of their rooms, some bigger then others but find all to be very well decorated, clean, and really inviting, Their is a small garden for siting and an a few indoor places that are also very charming. It... More

Originally Louis XIII 's tennis court, now imaginatively transformed in to a delightful hotel. The triple height atrium retains wonderful original beams, the rooms are comfortable boutique style, the staff welcoming and friendly. Unlike its busy and crowded neighbour, Isle de la Cite, Isle St Louis is quiet and peaceful with a great neighbourhood feel and not at all touristy.There... More

Wonderful location on Isle St. Louis. Charming, but small, rooms. The staff is welcoming and very tolerant of terrible French accents, but all speak English, so if you speak no French at all you will still be very comfortable in this lovely, quiet hotel. We have stayed here many times and will continue to return regularly.

A charming hotel in a great location to explore Paris. Delightful staff who are welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are tastefully furnished and characterful. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

We arrived late in Paris, 21:30 after long drive. We found a spontaneous business owner with a hotel with very nice rooms who was extremely generous and helpfull. We can only recommend this place and the rates where more than reasonable.

We stayed here for five days, first in a suite then a double. Overall great, both rooms very quiet at night looking over a small internal garden. We enjoyed drinks in the gallery overlooking the old 1600s indoor tennis court itself from which the hotel takes its name. We didn't take the breakfast which seemed expensive but no problem with... This hotel was such a great find. Ile Saint-Louis is a perfect place to stay in Paris. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes on this tiny island (Berthillon which is famous for their ice cream is just a stone’s throw away from the hotel) and metro is just across the bridge. The hotel building itself has a lot... More

At first I was not sure how this hotel was going to be because it is a bit hidden and it is in the middle of the streets. It turns out the hotel is beautiful and especially not noisy. We could not hear the streets in the day and night. I strongly recommend this place. The staff is very nice!

We stayed here mid week for three nights and had a wonderful stay. The location was great, very central and not too touristy. Our room was spacious and blissfully quiet and the bed extremely comfortable! The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They booked restaurants ahead of our stay and during our stay for us,... More

We think the Ile St Louis is a great location, central and pretty with lots of places for breakfast, coffee and tea. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed with good reliable fast free Wi-fi and a decent shower with good water pressure. No hotel room in Paris is huge but this was large enough not to feel cramped.... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
