We were very pleased with Hotel Sainte Beuve. Our room was small, as expected, but thanks to a large armoire and a small dresser, we were able to unpack two suitcases of clothes. We got our biggest suitcase out of the way by tucking it under the bench at the foot of the bed. Wall-mounted hooks came in handy for... More

This small and centrally located hotel was outstanding for our recent stay in Paris. Close to Metro lines and within walking distance to many wonderful venues it had true Parisian charm. My husband is very particular and even he loved the place. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bedding oh so soft and the bathroom pristine. The staff was very... More

Not a bad hotel. Great central location. Short taxi drive to most important sites in Paris. Service was great. Very friendly and helpful. Great value. The only thing we didn't like was the room. It was just too small for 2 people. It probably just over 200 sq feet with two single beds. With 4 pieces of luggage there were... More

We stayed here for our first night of our honeymoon! We were looking for a friendly, quiet, traditional hotel in a good area for eating and exploring, and we definitely found it. The room was lovely, with a good shower and bath, comfortable bed and very quiet - the two doors between us and the hallway plus double glazing made... More

What a great little boutique hotel oozing character. We were shown two different rooms and one was smaller than the other. We were upgraded free of charge. Our room was clean and quite large. Our windows also opened up to allow fresh air and because it's a quiet little street, even though we were just above the entrance to the... More

A good choice of hotel, all transportation handy nearby and very easy to use. Friendly welcome and quick check in and out. Wifi service is good. We had a deluxe room on the 6th floor which was very good and a decent size by Paris standards. Lift is small but perfectly ok to use. Would recommend .

We (party of 2) stayed here for 3 nights. This was a vacation and not our first trip to Paris. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Service-oriented. While all reasonable city hotel rooms in Europe are small compared to U.S. standards, the room layout made our standard room seem larger and more comfortable. Lots of room to put... More

This hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing and shopping - especially the Sunday farmer's market. It clean, smells very nice and is well maintained. The staff helped with booking of hotel reservations. We have stayed here in both December and April. The fireplace and bar area is very cozy in December.

My mom and I stayed here for 4 nights in March of 2015. We had a fantastic stay-the rooms were clean, spacious, beautiful and cozy. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. A perfect place to base your travels around Paris!

Truly enjoyed this hotel on a recent 3 night stay in Paris for my wife and I. Convenient location to many Paris attractions...also VERY easy access to metro. Several outstanding restaurants several doors down from the hotel...highly recommend Moustache and Invictus. The staff at Hotel Sainte Beuve were tremendously helpful, friendly and accommodating. Rooms were small--( and we had the... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
