We were given a very warm welcome upon arrival and briefly all was good about the hotel including breakfast, comfortable bed, very friendly staff etc. However our room, room 2, kind of made you feel like you were in a cupboard under the stairs when others were coming down in the morning owing to the sound in the room, also,... We stayed in this cute, clean hotel for 4 nights and were very impressed with the staff- they were all friendly and very helpful, even gave us soap to use in the laundromat (which is conveniently located 2 doors up). The hotel is very close to many restaurants, cafes, bakeries, supermarket and 2 metro lines. Loved our stay here and... More

The boutique hotel was in a lovely part of Paris. We easily accessed it from the CDG airport via train and metro and a very short walk. Also an elevator made transport of luggage to our room easy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, providing maps, advice and recommendations for dining. The location of the boutique enabled us... More

What a sweet little place. Lovely staff. Cute rooms. We stayed in the back so nice and quiet. Surprisingly roomy bathrooms. Great location. Close to lots of lovely cafes and shops and of course the Luxembourg gardens. Appreciated the Nespresso coffee. Be prepared to carry your bags up narrow stairways and to hold the shower head while you shower. Just... More

What a wonderful hotel! The reception staff all spoke perfect English and couldn't have been more helpful. Recommended and booked an excellent river trip for us.The whole hotel was immaculately clean and welcoming - is actually much nicer than the photos, which was a wonderful surprise! Some reviews have said that the breakfast room is dark and dingy - whilst... More

Dear Family, What a wonderful review! All our English spoken staff was pleased to welcome you and your two teenagers. A visit of Paris without a river trip is not a complete visit of the city. This hotel was super cute. Our room had two beds. One double for my husband and I and one twin for my son. It was tight as most rooms are in Paris but there was a nice armoire and we were able to fit in with our three large suitcases. The toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom... More

I've stayed three times in this hotel as I have work nearby. The location is excellent for shopping, eating, and gaining access to the rest of Paris. Always very clean with a good petit dejeuner. The street side rooms may be a little noisier that the interior ones but the insulation is good. There is air conditioning--a necessity these last... More

The location was perfect. Close to shopping, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, the metro and taxis. A Starbucks across the street was so handy. Le Brea is a short walk to the beautiful Luxemburg park. A shopping mall is a close walk and so is Bon Prix a department / supermarket store. The staff at Le Brea were very friendly and very... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
