I loved this hotel. It is very nicely decorated, the staff is extremely friendly, and the location is fantastic. Please note, however, that the rooms are very small and the sounds from neighbors can be heard through the walls. If you need to fit more than 1 suitcase in your room, or if you are a light sleeper that needs... More

Visited Paris for a long weekend and wanted a centrally located, boutique hotel at a reasonable price and this hotel fulfilled this criteria! If you are after lots of facilities then think again, however the hotel's location more than compensates for the lack of a pool / spa. The staff were exceptionally helpful and very attentive. Standard rooms were very... More

We were thrilled with our stay at Hotel Verneuil. The boutique hotel was in a fantastic location, only a few moments walk from the Seine, close to the metro, and with a number of lovely restaurants nearby. The area was safe and well-lit at nighttime. Our room, though on the small side, was immaculately clean and had everything we needed... More

I'm a tight Asian dude. This is a reasonably expensive hotel. I generally value things I can buy and later sell (with the exception of my family, of course). I generally don't rate experiences.....except for this one. It was recommended to me by a friend. I was a bit skeptical at first, but finally caved because my wife said that... More

Extremely pleasant in every way. Very friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable bed and bedding. Very clean. Excellent breakfast. Old (but nicely modernised) building in a quiet, narrow street in a very interesting area of Paris, close to the best art galleries. Only two slight negative remarks: our twin room was a bit smaller than ideal, and the login for the... More

If you want a reasonably priced hotel with small and individually styled rooms then this is the place. Located in St Germain district it is close to Musee D'Orsay and Notre Dame and the main sites. It is a B&B with a full breakfast available and excellent restaurants nearby. A wonderful place to stay in Paris and good value.

You can't beat the location and the rooms are understandably small. What set this quaint hotel apart for us was the incredible concierge service they provide. I am a planner and had our 5 day stay fairly mapped out but required helped securing and confirming dinner reservations and museum tickets. This was no problem for the group manning the front... Position is perfectly located in St Germain, tucked away in a tiny road right across the Seine from Louvre. Reception friendly and helpful. Service quick and unintrusive. Room small (as the rule in Paris) but sufficient and cosy. Could however do with some refurbishing. Cleanlyness is perfect. Bathroom small but sufficient, well furnished, all brand-new. Bedware is perfect. Television could... More

I should have written this review two years ago. Time flies.... My daughter and I both really enjoyed this small hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room while, tiny, so tiny, was charming. We chose the hotel for the location and it was perfect for us. Easy walking in any direction to the sites that were on our... More

This hotel had plenty of charm and character. The room was small but somehow we didnt mind with the good service in the lobby, (friendly lady) excellent shower (one of the best) and well appointed room. (everything was where you would expect it - powerpoints, mirrors etc) The bed was wonderful. Great location. L'Occitane bathroom accessories. Can recommend!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
