First time in Paris, wasn't expecting the service to be as great as it was. The rooms were small and the bathrooms were even smaller but we got used to it quickly. Great people at the front desk. Nice breakfast and great outside setting. Loved it!

First rate staff and location for this three star hotel. Just behind the church of St Germain in a cute street, this hotel has a fantastic location if you want to be on the left bank. The staff ( Laurence, Juliette and Jean Louis- at night) have been there for years and are extremely helpful, and will do everything to... More

The hotel is truly well located : Saint Germain Depres is one of the most beautiful and fun areas in Paris. Hotel is close to Louvre Museum and many other interteresting spots. You can walk from the hotel and enjoy a lot of restaurants and bars in the area but rooms are too small. No drawers, small closet, bathroom could... More

This is a boutique hotel which I wanted for our trip to Paris. Great location in the St. Germain district. The downside is the noise level from the outside. The hotel is set back off the street in a court yard and the noise from the outside echoes through the courtyard. Ask for a a room in the back. The... More

I'd try somewhere else next time. I had a warm welcome, up 1 flight of stairs where I booked a double room for single occupancy but it was tiny. Old décor, breakfast was average. The key to this place was the location. For the money I want more.

In the 70's I stayed in a hotel on Rue Jacob and loved the location. When I was narrowing down the choices of hotels, I laughed when I saw my favorite choice was located on Rue Jacob. I have stayed at this hotel before, and I find it restful and comfortable. This time I had a week which allowed me to get a better than average price, and again I found it to be a great place to stay. It is quiet as it is set back from the street and chances are that you will have... More

We had the quadruple room for my husband and I and my father in law. It worked out very well as we could chat easily without having to go out in the hall and knock on the door. Let's get the size of the room out of the way first. It was small. There's no getting away from that. But it's clean, has everything you need and it's decorated in a classic Parisian style. This hotel is in a nice location, does have character and friendly desk staff and free wifi, but I would not recommend it. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
