We love this hotel and stayed there for a week. We had stayed there before about 15 years ago. It is in a quiet area with lots of interesting small shops and galleries. True - the rooms was small and the bathroom was minute BUT it can't be beaten for the location. We walked to all our favourite museums including... More

Parisienne hotels generally have small rooms unless you feel you are so important you must swing a cat. The best hotels are on the Left Bank and three stars should give you everything you need. Hotel des Marronniers does just that, a pretty room and - wow, luxury for Paris - a bath in which most of me could fit,... More

Dear VentrisArdenToronto, Thank you for sharing your experience on Trip Advisor. We were pleased to see that you had a great time in Saint-Germain des Près. Rue de Buci, rue de Seine, rue de l'Abbaye are such nice streets, where you can imagine the old Paris. And Christmas Market on the Place Saint-Germain creates a wonderful atmosphere in the area.... Very centrally located to many attractions within walking distance. The room was a bit small but well appointed. There is a nice little lounge under reception where you can relax. There is also a computer available in the lounge. Many restaurants and bars are quite close.

My sister and I spent 3 nights here and loved it. The location is great. Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the D'Orsay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a real treat to have breakfast in the courtyard. The room was not huge but more than adequate. We were not in it much anyway!... More

Our first trip to Paris, we were in an American style hotel near the Louvre, but went walking and popped our heads into the alcove of this hotel and found it charming. We asked to see a room, then stayed the next visit and ever since. Rooms are small but charming. Location is terrific, and they've done a really charming... More

Really cannot say enough about this hotel. Within the context of Paris accommodation, this is an incredible find. Friendly and welcoming staff, a real personality to the building and its rooms, and a lovely, quiet garden in which to enjoy a great breakfast. The rooms are not large in comparison to many other countries, but remember this is Paris, and... More

Situated on Rue Jacob, the hotel is 2 blocks from Blvd St Germaine Des Pres in one direction and 2 blocks from the Seine in the other. The room was tiny but pristine and the staff as helpful and pleasant as we could have hoped. Well done!

My wife and I stayed here several years ago. Was recommended by a colleague who lives in Paris. Tiny room, typical. Location can't be beat. Tucked in off the street, in the heart of the 6th, you can walk everywhere. Would stay there again.

The plus factor about this charming hotel is that it peaceful and silent. You can sleep with your window wide open an in the morning there are no sirens or cars to be heard. Great staff, rooms are fine - not that big but this is Paris after all. I will definitely return!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
