From beginning to end, Hotel des Marronniers made our weekend in Paris very memorable and enjoyable. Starting with the location, the hotel is near many historic parks and churches. The River Seine, the Louvre, and other attractions are only a few blocks away. Shopping was also very convenient and enjoyable which is to be expected in this part of Paris.... More

A friend recommended this hotel and I am very pleased she did! I spent three nights there, and the location is absolutely fantastic. Rooms are small but very nice and staff very friendly. Will return!

This hotel is in a great, central location. Within walking distance of brasseries, shopping, Notre Dame, etc. As other reviewers noted, rooms are very small. Suitable for guests with a single suitcase & carry on. Very well appointed, very friendly and helpful front desk staff. This is an authentic European boutique hotel, but don't expect lots of amenities. The courtyard... More

I just got back from a short weekend break with my daughter and booked one of the hotel's triple rooms. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and made our stay as comfortable as possible. For these prices it must be one of the best value hotels in my favourite area of Paris.. very highly recommended.

Dear CondeNastyLondon, Thank you very much for choosing Hotel des Marronniers. It was a real pleasure for our staff to discover your comment and to see that you enjoyed your stay with your daughter. Triple rooms are a good choice, even for two persons, because rooms' size in Paris are known to be quite small. And as you can not... More

Lovely small hotel in a great location. Small lift, air conditioning and good wifi. Only issue was out bathroom was very small, and door needs to be left over to use. I understand there are many different room configurations so you may want to check prior to booking, Great breakfast served in the small dining room or in the back... More

This was the second time I have stayed in the Hotel des Marronniers with friends. This time a friend and I each had a single room. The room was bright and delightfully decorated with plenty of room for one and a large window looking out on the inner courtyard. Sweet! The staff is very friendly and generous with their suggestions... More

This lovely place was recommended by a Francophile friend and we couldn't have been more pleased. While it is not what we would call a luxury hotel - the bedrooms and bathrooms are quite small - but it was very comfortable, clean and charming. The location in the St. Germain/Latin quarter could not be beat - we walked everywhere, and... More

I had known about this hotel for some time. Colleagues and friends particular about their lodging there had suggested it, I had read about it, and each year, before my annual visit to Paris, I pondered, sure I would be pleased and aware that to stay at the Hotel des Marronniers would tax my budget. Finally, in early February 2015,... More

If you've stayed in a Parisian hotel before, you know the rooms are small. You won't be dancing in there, you'll be outside grooving on Paris and all that you've dreamed about it. The rooms are beautifully decorated with sumptuous fabrics, and everything is just adorable. My very tall husband got a bad oyster on night and spent the next... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
