Great location in St Germain, a short walk to Luxembourg Gardens, Louvre, St Sulpice, Pont Neuf, Sorbonne and all the other sites in between. Comfortable beds and much more space than we ever expected for a hotel in central Paris where you're usually lucky if you get enough space to swing a cat. The room was not luxurious but simply... In my opinion, this is the kind of hotel you want to stay in when in Paris. It is charming and well managed. The location is excellent- in the heart of St. Germain and a 5 minute walk to the Louvre. I will definitely go back.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Danube for a week in June and we loved it!! This boutique hotel is lovely in every way, with good size rooms ( that you usually don't find in Paris) and a helpful and friendly staff. We found Jeremy particularly awesome !! He was helpful with all our needs. The hotel is... More

Hotel Danube is a charming little hotel perfectly located in the heart of St Germain. The only drawback, as almost all of the reviews here note, is that the rooms are extremely cramped. We could not open the door the bathroom fully because the bed blocked it, and there is no room to put two suitcases. I was there for... More

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to write this review following your stay with us. In fact we have a few standard rooms which are extremely popular for business travelers in particular despite their small size but my suggestion would be to try during your next visit one of our comfort, superior or prestige rooms which are particularly... I stayed here with my girlfriend for two nights 28 - 30 May 2015. The hotel is extremely conveniently located on Rue Jacob in the heart of St. Germain. You are within walking distance of pretty much everything such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay, and of course all of St. Germain. The hotel lobby is quaint and well... More

For work I have to be a lot in Paris and I always stay in Hotel du Danube. I stayed here for a long weekend and would gladly stay in this hotel again. Although it is right in the middle of Paris, the room overlooked a courtyard and was really quiet. The room wasn't huge but was clean, nicely furnished with period decor and a modern bathroom. The service was friendly and attentive and really added to our... More

Hote du Danube has a prime location in St Germain. It is really really good - walking distance to many places we were interested in visiting this time. So, that was very convenient. Staff is nice. Some over friendly, some helpful, but in general they all spoke English and tried to make you feel welcome. Interiors in the lobby are... More

Dear guest, I am truly sorry to hear that the size of your room did not suit you. However, we have different room types and the majority of them are frankly spacious or very spacious especially the superior and prestige ones. At the same time, it is absolutely true that a few of our rooms (Standard ones) are smaller than... More

I have stayed at the du Danube at lease six times over the years, but this will be my last. The physical condition and service of the hotel has depreciated significantly over the years. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
