Hotel Danube is a charming little hotel perfectly located in the heart of St Germain. The only drawback, as almost all of the reviews here note, is that the rooms are extremely cramped. We could not open the door the bathroom fully because the bed blocked it, and there is no room to put two suitcases. I was there for... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend for two nights 28 - 30 May 2015. The hotel is extremely conveniently located on Rue Jacob in the heart of St. Germain. You are within walking distance of pretty much everything such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay, and of course all of St. Germain. The hotel lobby is quaint and well... More

For work I have to be a lot in Paris and I always stay in Hotel du Danube. The staff is very nice and helpful, excellent in the english language, and the general manager Michel can help you in any way. The rooms are cosy and convenient and have a homely athmosphere. Wifi is good and the neighborhood is amazing:... More

I stayed here for a long weekend and would gladly stay in this hotel again. Although it is right in the middle of Paris, the room overlooked a courtyard and was really quiet. The room wasn't huge but was clean, nicely furnished with period decor and a modern bathroom. The service was friendly and attentive and really added to our... More

Hote du Danube has a prime location in St Germain. It is really really good - walking distance to many places we were interested in visiting this time. So, that was very convenient. Staff is nice. Some over friendly, some helpful, but in general they all spoke English and tried to make you feel welcome. Interiors in the lobby are... More

Dear guest, I am truly sorry to hear that the size of your room did not suit you. However, we have different room types and the majority of them are frankly spacious or very spacious especially the superior and prestige ones. At the same time, it is absolutely true that a few of our rooms (Standard ones) are smaller than... More

I have stayed at the du Danube at lease six times over the years, but this will be my last. The physical condition and service of the hotel has depreciated significantly over the years. I've been here for five nights and my toiletries have yet to be replenished despite leaving the empty vanity tray in the sink in plain sight.... More

The Hotel du Danube was a great place to stay for a 2-night business trip. My room was large, quiet, spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. Wifi worked well throughout my visit. Location excellent. The continental breakfast was ok, I especially liked the fresh orange juice, but the coffee was nothing special. But... More

After being overwhelmed by the number of hotel choices in Paris for our first visit, I opted to seek advice on the TripAdvisor forums. Hotel du Danube came highly recommended and with good reason. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
