We've had the good fortune to have stayed at the Artus on more than one occasion and it just gets better and better. The location is simply as good as it gets right in the heart of the Latin Quarter just off St. Germaine des Pres, it is walking distance to everything. All around the hotel are shops, restaurants and... More

The hotel was nice and the front desk staff was helpful. The location was perfect! Close walking distance to the Seine, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and within a block of two metro lines. Great little neighborhood! More about our room & hotel: we booked last minute so ended up with a room on the alley at the back of the... More

My husband and I traveled to Paris in May 2015 to celebrate my 40th birthday. On a recommendation from a friend, we booked at the Artus Hotel. What a gem! From check-in and to check-out we experienced nothing but wonderful service thanks to our bellman, Phillipe and AMAZING concierge, Sanjay. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The... Stayed here for 8 nights. Excellent location just off St. Germain de Pres, a major street. Tons of cafes, shops in the area. We were a bit concerned about the possibility of noise, but the windows were fantastic and we heard nothing, even from a cafe that was open quite late, just down the street. Everyone at the hotel was... More

Dear Mayanne, Many thanks for having taken the time to write a comment on the Hotel Artus. Saint-Germain-des-Prés made you visibly good effect! I am happy you were not disturbed about the noise outside. Our concierge has still so many secret places to advise, so do not hesitate to come back! Kind regards, Gregoire Berthelot – General Manager More

Just returned from our first trip to Paris and we were thrilled that we picked the lovely Artus Hotel in St. Germain for our stay, thank you TripAdvisor! Our bright, cheery room with a soooo comfortable bed and fabulous rain shower overlooked the Rue de Buci, a perfect launching spot for exploring the best sights in Paris. So much to... More

This was our second time at the Artus and Sanjay greeted us like good friends. It's located in the 6th right off of St. Germain, in a neighborhood that reflects the busy, upscale Parisian café life. The D'Orsay, Eiffel Tour, Seine, etc. are all within walking distance. Rooms are small and a bit quirky but comfortable, clean and include necessary... More

What a pleasure to see our guests coming back at the Hotel Artus! Your room may seem small, but this is the normal size for Paris! Also our rooms are designed in the spirit of the fifties with very pop and flashy colors, that’s why you can find it a little bit “Quirky”. I hope you will come back again... More

The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful—most especially Sanjay, the head concierge. They helped us find restaurants, recommended tours and activities and helped us get a taxi during the strike as well. The accommodations were lovely and the neighborhood is wonderful—fabulous shopping, amazing pastries and much, much more.

This hotel was recommended to us by friends who have stayed at one if their sister hotels, The Madison. At the end of a long 2 week stay in both Spain and the south of France, the Artus was perfect for our last 2 nights away. Sanjay was very helpful with his suggestions and ensured we had some fresh fruit... More

Found a deal on Expedia for Christmas. I was impressed by the reviews on Trip Advisor, especially regarding Sanjay, the Concierge. They were all true. I began asking Sanjay for recommendations about 2 months before my trip. I would then check them out on Google and Yelp and come up with my own suggestions. When I walked in the hotel,... More

The hotel was just as my wife and I hoped it would be - clean, modern, and perfect, with a great staff. The location lends itself to truly enjoy the Latin Quarter in Paris, along with an ability to take a 5-10 minute walk to the famous landmarks (Orsay, Notre Dame, etc.). Can't wait to get back.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
