We stayed for six nights - part business part vacation. I could tell you how cool the 6th arrondisement is or how convenient the hotel is to shops, restaurants, the metro, the Seine and other Paris treats; but what made our trip an excellent one was Sanjay. Any concierge can get you a dinner reservation or arrange for a taxi... More

A couple years ago we stayed at the Hotel DeBuci just down the street and and enjoyed our stay very much. I was pleased when I noted that the Artus is part of a related group of hotels. The hotel staff is very courteous and willing to help with your stay. The room is a bit small but the bed... More

I stayed at the Artus for 3 nights. I have previously stayed at the Bel Ami down the street several times and decided I would try Artus. The location is amazing and everything is so close it feels better than home! The rooms are small, but kept well. I stayed in a duplex room, which actually has an upstairs and... More

Great hotel for staying right in the middle of the St. Germain action. Steps from restaurants, groceries, charcuterie, and frommage. Loved this little hotel good breakfast and staff was on the ball our entire stay. There are two Metro stops near by to get you anywhere in Paris with very little effort. Some folks are intimidated by the metro but... More

We had a fantastic stay at the Artus. What makes Artus an outstanding property is its location and the truly exceptional service. Chief Concierge Sanjay is an absolute pleasure to deal with and he makes everything possible. As one should expect in a European city, the rooms are not huge, but they are very clean, comfortable and well appointed. I... More

My daughter and I spent 9 days at the Artus Hotel. The hotel was excellent. It was our first trip to Paris and the hotel was recommended to us. We loved the hotel, staff, service and especially the concierge, Sanjay. He arranged all our trips, made resturant reservations for us and we had first class admittance to all the attractions... My daughter and I have just spent 2 wonderful days in Paris staying at the Hotel Artus. The hotel was excellent and the surrounding area is absolutely wonderful. Lot's of cobbled streets with interesting shops, art galleries, book shops and vibrant cafe's restaurants etc. The staff were charming and we can definately agree with previous reviews about the concierge Sanjay.... Recently took a short 2 night trip and we were overwhelmed with where to stay because there are so many choices! This is the perfect neighborhood and when we saw the hotel and the little Parisian street it is tucked on, we realized it was the perfect hotel. It is very Parisian. We were able to walk everywhere (easily could... More

My husband and I took the train over from London for a 3 day Paris visit and stayed at this little gem 'Hotel Artus' in early December 2014. We loved everything about it. We chose the hotel based on reviews, and in particular because of how reviewers raved about Sanjay. Well- they were 100% on the mark. Before we even... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
