A clean and modern hotel in excellent location. The manager, Sanjay, was exceptional in welcome and restaurant recommendations with reservations and maps. Only negative we felt was the dull lighting in the room and we noted that any tea bags we used were not replaced each day.

The hotel was very nice, great design in the lobby and in the rooms. Our room was very stylish with a big flat screen television on the wall. The bathroom was big with luxurious towels, bathrobes, hair dryer, soaps and a magnifying mirror. The location of the hotel was very good, all around the neighborhood there where nice restaurants and... More

My daughter and I stayed at Artus Hotel for 5 days in early March during my daughter's spring break. I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel and its staff. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Our room, a superior double, was small (but normal for Paris), and the bathroom was beautiful, modern and comfortable. Bed was super... More

I stayed in the Artus for 3 nights and had the suite on the top floor. The room was excellent, really spacious and could easily accommodate a family of 4. I was lucky to selfishly have it all to myself :-) I found the bed really comfortable and the tv and sound system really good though the bath was just... More

Superb retro meets contemporary hotel in the fantastic St. Germain de Pres area. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, sound proofed, spotlessly clean. Facilities include a safe, full sized ironing board and iron, proper hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a well stocked minibar and lovely toiletries. The bed is uber comfortable and the turn down service a... More

This was our first time to Paris and after reading a ton of hotel reviews, we were really worried that we might get a really bad hotel with tiny rooms and unfriendly staff. We didn't like pet-friendly hotels (my wife is allergic to cats) and we hate the smell of smoke. So we kinda tossed a coin and picked Artus... More

I had a great stay at Artus Hotel. The room was clean and the bed was ultra-comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and got and stayed hot. The location was great- there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The concierge, Sanjay, was great. Sanjay got my airport shuttle arranged for me and made sure I fully understood... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
