We stayed here for a week on a friend's recommendation and couldn't have been happier. Sanjay, the concierge, and his staff were very friendly and helpful, making calls and offering recommendations for our visit. In the middle of the trip my husband's sinuses acted up and he had to spend a day in bed. I went to the grocery around... More

Hotel Artus is located in the hip St. German district.Taxi stand and Metro is very close to the hotel. It is a cute boutique type hotel. The rooms are small but you will find that in the most of Paris hotels. Space is expensiv in this city. Our room was ready upon arrival. The bahtroom has a delicios big rainshower. There... More

I go to Paris several times a year. I like to stay in a smaller intimate hotel but in a prime location. Steps to everything > cafes, affordable boutiques and even a market that are opened all hours ~ there is always life on the street. Just off St. Germain, one can walk to the more up-scale stores or a... More

Thank you so much for coming back at the Artus Hotel. Saint-Germain-des-Prés is indeed full of cham and you never get tired of it! Do not hesitate to ask our concierge some secret places to discover in Paris next time. Also, the Artus Hotel is being renovated and the reopening is expected in March 2016. I hope you will come... Hotel Artus is a cute boutique type hotel tucked in the St. Germain district. Our room was ready upon arrival. We were able to purchase museum tickets through the hotel. Sanjay was SUPER helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here next time we return to Paris!

I have no idea how this hotel got a 4 star rating. This is a solid 3 star hotel. You might be pleased staying here if you were not expecting a 4 star property. The hotel has no amenities. The rooms are small - even for Paris - and unadorned. The room was suitable I suppose but was by no... More

Dear Stephanie, Thank you so much for your thoughts about the Artus. I'm sorry if you felt like the quality of our services weren't those you can expect in a four star hotel. We can guarantee you this is the case, despite your experiences. Our standards are the same, as well as our services. Some rooms are indeed smaller than... More

The check-in time at this hotel is 2pm. We came at 11 am and were told to come back later. I am perfectly fine with that. We came back at 1:00, they told us we should have our room in half an hour so we decided to stay and wait. At 1:30 they told us ten more minutes. We waited... More

Right at the heart of Saint Germain district on the Left Bank. Lively, warm and happy neighborhood. A petite boutique hotel, not luxurious but very well appointed with a modern touch. Outstanding, efficient and attentive service by a small but very friendly staff. A great concierge. In short: A great dig in Paris, especially for the romantically inclined.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
