Hotel Dauphine St. Germaine is well situated for exploring the Left Bank as well as the major Parisian tourist attractions. Although the rooms are small, they are nicely decorated, efficient, clean, and quiet. Staff members speak fluent English and are friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Fresh croissants and water are available in the lobby and a daily breakfast is... More

I have stayed many times at this hotel. The hotel combines a winning location and characterful interior. The rooms are small but well thought out and nicely decorated. The staff is very attentive. The breakfast is your typical French hotel one. The price is on the steeper side but given the location is understandable.

It's not for everyone, but we'll come back here again and again. We loved this place because it was a tiny inn that felt authentic and French in contrast to the slew of more cookie cutter Starwood hotels we often stay at (thanks to points). Everything about this place is tiny and a perfectly imperfect which is why we loved... More

We stayed for 5 nights in Room 54 in early June. The location is perfect, you can walk to almost all the major tourist attractions. Our double superior room was charming, though the carpet is ready for replacement. The bathroom was very clean and well lit. Casement windows open wide on to a quiet courtyard. The breakfast was delicious and... More

by pure luck, we found this place walking in the neighborhood after we decided that the place we booked on airbnb was way too small. our room here was not large at all but was perfectly sized. the front desk staff were all helpful. lemonwater in the lobby is a great touch. we skipped the house breakfast because we wanted... We had a girls' trip to Paris for 5 nights. The Hotel Dauphine was perfectly located near all the sites, great places to eat and the Metro. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful - from the time we arrived after flying overnight to when we left. The room we had was very clean and charming with two twin beds.... More

Excellent location and very friendly and helpful front desk. Andrea was so helpful. We stayed there for three nights and I would book there again when I'll come back to Paris. You can't beat the location.

We stayed at this small, charming hotel last month on a 7-day visit to Paris. The hotel was right in the center of the trendy Saint Germain area with great shops and restaurants just blocks away. It is also just a block away from The Seine River and allows you to walk to many top attractions. The only negative was... More

1st time in Paris and we were glad to have booked this hotel, the location cannot be beat, lots of cafes, shops, and attractions in very short walking distance, the left bank and St Germain area is out of the main tourist area and is the hip place to be in Paris. While the rooms are small, they are quite... More

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights in May. This is a lovely hotel, very nice room, very clean, and comfortable. The room and bathroom was a bit on the small side, but that is to be expected in an older building. We stayed on the 4th floor and there is an elevator. Location is amazing, within a block from... Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
