For a long week-end in Paris this is an ideal place: you can get to many of the top sites on foot (St Michel, Notre Dame, Tuileries, etc.) -- the Pont Neuf is just down the street. The whole area feels more like a village than part of a big city. The staff at reception is welcoming, friendly and chatty,... More

Checked in for 10 day stay and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service at the front desk as well as the very French- inspired ambiance of my room (totally red toile with old wood beams on the ceiling) with modern conveniences of great A/C system, and tiny but well equipped bathroom. A tub and shower is a rare find... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights here on a recent trip to Paris. Having been to Paris many times, we are familiar with European size rooms, so we booked a larger room. The room itself was fine (and I was impressed that Marie emailed us before and during our stay), but the bathroom was ridiculously small. We didn't say... More

Hello, Thank you for taking some of your time to share your experience at Le Dauphine Saint Germain. As for the size of the rooms and the bathroom, there is not much we can do about it. We are right in the center and the building is from the 17th century. That is the reason, we try our best to... More

Nice hotel with wonderful staff. Stylish decor with good artwork. Quality beds. Rooms a bit on the small side, but functional. Loved the neighborhood with lots of good restaurants and cafes. Highly recommended

Excellent location, being equidistant between Notre Dame and the Louvre with most of the major sights within reasonable walking distance or a short trip on the metro. Good range of restaurants close by. We caught the metro direct from Charles de Gaulle airport to Saint -Michel station, and then it's about a 1km walk to the hotel. Careful though this... More

The hotel is small, but close to museums, cafes, and metro stops. Everything was very nice. What makes the place shine is the staff, especially Adrian and Geoffrey. They went out of their way to be helpful. I look forward to a stay on my next visit to Paris.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of the 6th, very close to the Seine, great restaurants and food in the immediate area. It is a very lively area but the room was nice and quiet. The room was nice sized as compared with other Paris hotels. The staff members were uniformly helpful, in booking restaurants, helping with travel... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel 14-March through 18-March and it was everything I hoped for in a hotel. We stayed in Room 14 which was quiet room on the 1st floor. The was a "Superior Room" and was a bit bigger than I expected with plenty of room for the both of us. The bathroom of Room... More

You couldn't find a better located hotel in Paris if you tried. Add to that the 24-hour concierge and bar service, very friendly and helpful staff who speak good English (and are happy to work with your basic French!), and the amazing streets of St Germain de Pres ... we just loved it. Hop on hop off bus stop is... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
