Great location, the room felt clean and the bed was extremly soft. It was quiet, and the staff was very helpful, friendly and spoke very well English. You are in walking distance to all the best places and there are a lot of good restaurants nearby. The only downside is the price; a weekend is expensive, and your money might... More

Loved staying in this 'antique' hotel in the Latin Quarter. The location is incredible. Hotel Dauphine is one block from the Seine, Pont Nerf and the Ile de Cite with Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle and 4 blocks from the Louve. Hotel is a 5-block walk to the train & Metro. We took the RER B train from CDG airport... More

I had a happy stay at this hotel despite the drawbacks of the rather small 'superior double' room. I knew to expect a small room, from the reviews, but I had expected to be able to open the wardrobe doors (one was blocked by a bedside table) or draw the curtains (which would have required drawing them around the desk)... Small hotel with a big heart. The staff went out of their way on many occasions to take care of our group. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I would stay here again any time! Breakfast was excellent and the service was fast and always given with a smile.

Great little hotel in the middle of everything. We chose this hotel based upon the cost in the area of Paris we like to stay. We were happy in every way with the choice. The rooms were quiet and snug but quite sufficient and the staff friendly and very helpful. The b'fast room was comfortable and the food good, for... More

The management contacted us ahead of our trip to ensure our visit was as enjoyable as possible, and it was. French hotel rooms tend to be a bit on the small side but ours was roomy enough, with a comfy bed and lovely decor. I'd happily return.

Area could not be better. Hotel is in a quiet back street, but in a busy area, with loads of entertainment, and great eating places at all levels. Walking distance to many of the biggest attractions too- a real gem, with wonderful staff.

We have been here for three nights and are checking out in the morning but wanted to leave this review while we had a few minutes. We've fallen in love with this sweet hotel. The hotel is, as many have mentioned, quite small. But we were coming from a river cruise ship so our room (superior) is actually larger than... More

This is our second time in Paris - and staying in this general neighborhood. The Hotel arranged to pick us up at the Airport. We stayed for four nights and it was wonderful. A big thank you to the hotel staff.

This is my favorite place to stay in Paris for a day or two! Small rooms but very well located, clean and nice staff! Ask for a room to the court. The road is too noisy at night....garbage truck and cleaning road services pass by the whole night....

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
