just stayed here a few days ago and would definitely recommend. The rooms have a nice balance of updated decor and old world charm. The location is within walking distance of the Louvre, Notre Dame as well as sights in the Latin Quarter and St. Germaine des Pres. the rooms are quite small however. We had a superior and still... more

Just returned last night from an 8 day stay at the Dauphine with my husband. This recent visit marks our 7th or 8th stay at the hotel - and we're still as delighted with it as always. Our room was located on the 5th floor (we've now stayed on every floor!) and was comfortable, extremely well kept, clean, and welcoming.... more

Staff here is wonderful, but the room was a bit smaller then most I have been in within Paris. Everything was clean and had a very nice large bathroom. Breakfast was standard Parisian hotel fare but alot of wonderful cafes nearby. Pricing was cheap considering the very central location to the major areas of Paris nightlife (at least on the... more

What all the other reviews are saying is true, and your experience depends a lot on which room you are given. They are not all the same, and the unusual arrangement of some rooms being below the elevator landing makes it awkward for some. Having read about that feature here, I was careful to ask for a room which didn't... more

We stayed here the first weekend in April. Seriously, we have never felt as welcome as we were here. We have stayed in many hotels in Paris, but this was the best. The room is small, but aren't all rooms in Paris? The only complaint is that we had to choose between warm still air at night or street noise.... more

My husband and i stayed at the Dauphine in July 2008 and loved it! The location was wonderful. So close to the Louvre and just a bike ride away from the Eiffel Tower. The surrounding streets gave us a great feel for the real Paris. Buzzing at night with locals out drinking and eating- not that you could hear the... more

I've visited Paris several times and usually stay at 2 or 3 star hotels in this price range. I stayed here for seven nights by myself in early February. While I booked a standard double, I was upgraded to a superior double (room 14) at no extra charge. The room was far from the smallest I've stayed in in Paris... more

I booked The Dauphine, knowing it was a three star, but it got some good reviews on this and other websites, and thought "we won't be in the room very much anyway". We booked a package through Amex, and on arrival, they knew nothing about the package (breakfast included, fruit basket on arrival, romantic river cruise). The room was so... more

Stayed three nights, booked by the company's travel agent. Excellent location in the left bank, near the Odeon metro, but the room 26 was small and run-down, with no view at all. Not worth 200 euros/night. There are better places in the neighborhood. more

My husband and I were in Paris for business and were booked at the Dauphine Saint Germain by my company's travel agent. It WAS extremely well located, as she promised, but quite a disappointment in several other ways. We arrived there with plenty of luggage as we had been traveling in Europe for several weeks. Much to my dismay, were... more
