We have stayed in Paris many times and this was one of our better choices of hotel. Good location for sightseeing and restaurants. We had one of the " relax "double rooms which was a good size and being at the back of the hotel was nice and quiet. Didn't get on with the pillows though. The staff couldn't have... More

Our first stop on a 4 week European trip, and having visited Paris before found this little hotel just delightful. The rooms are on the small side but they are the best beds I have slept in so far (now in second week of trip). The breakfast is sensational and the staff could not be more helpful. The location is... More

This is a great hotel, perfect location for walking or getting the metro around Paris. The Staff were all polite and courteous. Comfortable bed, didn't love the pillows, beautiful bathroom. Amazing private health/fitness suite, you MUST use this, the massage chair is brilliant and the steam room is so relaxing! A perfect hotel for our needs.

Loved our stay. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Very clean and decorated beautifully. Good location. Rooms are a bit on the small but I believe most of the hotels in Paris are the same .

Internet access was fast and worked well. The hotel location is approx 600-700m from the metro stations Saint Michel and Odeon, which is a fairly short walk. This is not the cheapest area of Paris but there are some cafe's close buy if you would like to visit. The breakfast was also nice although not cheap ($15 euro per person... More

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL! Particularly do not book with them via Expedia. The hotel has just removed over £700 from my account without authorisation. This is the second time they have done this in a month. The last time they removed £189. I booked with Expedia for a four night stay this April and selected the 'Pay at... More

Dear M. Fisher, We are terribly sorry for this frustrating experience with Expedia and our establishment. The new 'Pay at the Hotel' system has been very successful with many of our clients however we fully understand the difficulty this has caused you. We have immediately proceeded to the cancellation of both pre-authorisations. Please note that you can always contact us... More

I have just returned from a short break in Paris, staying at the Grand Hotel St Michel - I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. The staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. They were always available to offer help and advise when we were locating places to see and visit. The rooms themselves were clean, fresh and ver comfortable!... More

My husband and I came to Paris to celebrate New Year and his birthday. We chose this hotel for our stay together and then I moved to another hotel with my friend when he left; I so wished I didn't have to!!! I loved Saint-Germain so so much! I booked this hotel about 4 month before the trip and was... More

I have stayed in many big Parisian hotels but most are under construction at the moment. This hotel offers many of the comforts of the other hotels in an outstanding location. This is a great hotel for a first time visit to Paris!

The hotel is in a perfect location, in the centre of Paris, near to interesting tourist places . Easy to get to the airport. The metro station is near the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially Silvio. The breakfast buffet is tasty and served in elegant dishes. Perfect!!! The rooms are very small . We got room... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
