This is a great little modernly designed/furnished boutique hotel. All the staff were great, amazingly helpful, friendly & cheerful- especially Clotilde at reception who helped us a lot, she even upgraded our room & gave us a free breakfast. The location was good- close to many things and close to the Metro. I would definitely go back.

I booked this hotel based on other reviews and was so pleased with the choice! The hotel was clean and modern. The rooms are relatively small but apparently most Parisian hotel rooms are. I specifically asked for a room on a higher floor with good views and the staff were very accommodating. We were allocated a great room on the... More

To start with the positives, the location is right by the sat one on a very quiet street. We didn't spend much time by the hotel, but there are plenty of little shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. As for the room, the bathroom was very nice, and the hotel has very nice toiletries and generously provides everything you... More

We already read the reviews from previous posts, and this hotel did not disappoint. We stayed 5 nights at the hotel and we were very satisfied. The Pluses: Superb location, located in the Latin Quarter, 2 blocks from the Jardin du Luxembourg, Sorbonne, and Pantheon. Literally 3 blocks from the trendy ,Rue Saint Germaine, near shopping and restaurants. Metro and... More

This hotel is wonderful. The staff have terrific customer service. I have stayed in many hotels for business and this is one of the best. Nestled on a quiet street a block away from a main blvd in the latin quarter. A few blocks from the Luxembourg gardens that you can walk to and wont want to miss. Best customer... More

I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the location at the top end of Boulevard St Michel and very near the Luxembourg RER station. Easy to walk to quieter areas as a change from the busy places by the Seine. Everybody in the hotel was most helpful and I will stay again on my next visit.

Thank you very much for their team staffs at the front desk. Without the Excellent help from Cristina, Marie and Claire at the Grand Hotel Saint Michel, we won't be able to make it to our River Cruise which I have booked thru Gate1 travel. Gate1 only provided the name of the ship, but no address which Port in Paris.... More

Between the 4th and 9th of April we stayed in the Grand Hotel Saint Michel. The whole stay was very good. We enjoyed the room, the service and everything related to the hotel. But we want to share with you especially the way the desk team took care of us on the last day. We were supposed to fly with... More

Very nice location and excellent service. The personnel is very friendly. I would like to mention Cristina who made it very easy for us by accommodating all our needs. She was extremely nice, professional and knowledgeable. We will come back and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a real good time in Paris.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
