I have stayed in many big Parisian hotels but most are under construction at the moment. This hotel offers many of the comforts of the other hotels in an outstanding location. This is a great hotel for a first time visit to Paris!

The hotel is in a perfect location, in the centre of Paris, near to interesting tourist places . Easy to get to the airport. The metro station is near the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially Silvio. The breakfast buffet is tasty and served in elegant dishes. Perfect!!! The rooms are very small . We got room... More

The word "Grand" in the name is slightly misleading. The hotel is in a very convenient location on the left bank. Close walk to the Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, metro stations and St Germain. My room, however, was very basic. I don't mind small, but I think it's important to have realistic expectations. I wouldn't say that anything in the room... More

My boyfriend and I visited this hotel over the past weekend when, thanks to unfortunate timings, there were the anti-terrorism 'je suis Charlie' campaigns. In the light of this, the hotel staff were really helpful in advising us on travel routes and where to avoid if we wanted to steer clear of the crowds. In general though, the hotel was... More

we've stayed at the hotel for 6 nights between the dayes of 26.12.14-1.1.15. first of all, we would like to say that the location is great, and most of the sites are in walking range. the most obvious drawback is the room size, which was very small. on the other hand, the staff was unbelivebly kind and helpful. we would... This hotel is located in the 5th arrondissement or the "Latin Quarter" on the left bank of the Seine. My wife and I stayed here for our babymoon and first time in Paris and it was a very pleasant experience. Fortunately, we were able to Uber from CDG to the hotel with ease and were welcomed by Claire at the... More

I am very pleased with my stay in this hotel. It is really well)situated - close to sightseeings, close to restaurants, close to metro station. Everything that I needed was accessible by foot. Rooms are small, it is true, but it is like everywhere in Paris. Staff is very helpful, speaks both English and French. Breakfast is rich. Free umbrellas... More

My husband and I spend Thanksgiving in Paris, and we stayed at this hotel for 4 days/nights. We were so pleased with the hotel overall, and were most happy with the excellent service provided by Marie and Christina. They were professional and knowledgeable, and were always very willing to help. Thank you Marie and Christina!

Our first hotel in Paris Latin Quarter area. The staff was very accomodating. Although rooms were extremely small it was beautifully decorated and clean. We were comfortable sleeping there. Fifteen dollars for breakfast was steep if staying more than three nights. There are plenty of places to eat outside of hotel for breakfast so I was good with that. Location... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
