Stayed here in February 2015 for youngest daughters 18 th. lovely small hotel in good neighbour hood. Staff brilliant. Rooms small as expected but all good. Clean and comfortable with excellent bathroom. Staff recommended place for dinner. It Was excellent and a very special place for dinner. Small gym area in basement and really good breakfast. Some drinks and cake... More

Perhaps Parisian hotels have gotten so small and so expensive that people lost there minds while reviewing this place. The highlight? The lovely concierge at the front desk. She was so pleasant and helpful I hesitated writing this review. But the drunks arguing and yelling outside the window until 4 am, followed by the drunks arguing in the hallway that... More

A very small room albeit a comfortable bed. Nice towels and bedding. A little disappointed with the robotic staff who put the dampers on our celebration break even though we mentioned it more than once. Didn't like the fact the hotel tax was added after the bill had been deducted from my account, which meant that the bank chArged twice... More

This hotel was fine, but nothing special. We had just come from the Hotel de Rivoli in Paris that is not too far away. It was half the price and just about as nice, so I didn't feel that this place was a good value for what you get. Also, when I called from the States to change my reservation,... More

Our stay in this hotel was superb. We were in the hotel for a week and everything about our stay was perfect. This is a very old building that has been beautifully renovated and maintained. The decor is very modern, fresh and very clean with an atmospheric breakfast room in the cellar providing an excellent breakfast. The staff were extremely... More

This hotel is wonderful. Clean, quiet, newly decorated, lush towels, fine linen. The best bed I slept in out of the 7 hotels I stayed on my 2 week trip to the UK and France! Amazingly comfortable. The staff were also very, very, very, helpful and friendly. Great location, wonderful restaurants were recommended by the staff. Easy walking to many... More

I loved this hotel. It is within walking distance to the Pantheon, the Sorbonne, the Garden of Plants, Notre Dame, and the Louvre, and convenient both to the RER and Metro. The location is fabulous. The rooms are fairly spacious and comfortable, and air conditioned. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. The one downside: you have to... More

Loved our 4 night stay at the GHSM. The room was clean and modern with plenty of storage and a large comfortable bed. The air conditioning in the room was very welcome as the temperature during the day was is the high 30's and even reached 40 on one day. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of food... More

I spent one night at the Grand. My first time staying at a non chain in HCM. The location is great. Nice historic building. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was large and comfy. Modern in an old fashioned way. Good Wifi. Breakfast was decent and other hotel amenities were fine. Best thing is it's in the heart of HCM... More

We loved Silvio who worked nights at the front desk. He went above and beyond the call of duty to knock on our door when we didn't wake up with our telephone wake-up call, and offered us coffee on those mornings when we had an early start for day trips. Cristina was also most helpful. She suggested excursions and booked... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
