Hotel Claude Bernard is in a great location, within easy walking distance of many Paris sights and the RER train. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but comfortable with firm beds and a nice bathroom.

Hotel Claude Bernard is just your average budget hotel, nothing more and nothing less. Some great pointers about this property are definitely the fact that Wifi and breakfast are included at no extra charge. The location is also a plus as it's near the Metro and RER. I stayed here for three nights and I really had to tough it... More

My best friend and I came with a group, and I was delighted. Of course the building is old; of course the room was small, and the elevator tiny. One can stay in a Holiday Inn anywhere, but I love the Old-World charm that makes one feel that Paris is glad to have him/her as a visitor. I loved the... More

Our group of 19 from the University of Richmond Osher Lifelong Learning Institute thoroughly enjoyed the stay of 7 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, and we had many, many questions and special requests including help with reservations at local venues. The included breakfast was a highlight of every day, and offered... More

This was our third or fourth stay in this hotel on the rue des Ecoles in the 5th arrondissement. It will always be my Paris home. I have stayed all over the city in hotels ranging from 1 star to 5 star. I will still stay here. Why? If for no other reason -location. But there are plenty of good... More

This is by far the smallest hotel room i've ever seen. With a full sized bed in the room, there was hardly a place to put down a suitcase. The hotel was generally really shabby. The breakfast is very very subpar (and a travesty to waste calories on when there are so many lovely cafes and boulangeries in the area).... More

I chose this hotel because it was recommeneded by conference organiser. What a mistake ! On checking in it was immediately apparent that the difference between the hotel web site and reality is of epic proportions. The corridoor outside my room was jammed with spare beds, the bedside light was missing a bulb (never fixed despite requests), strange stains were... More

It was a nice hotel perfectly located near Saint Germain Bld with very friendly and helpful staff. They were very concerned about our wishes. We had a requested a room with balcony on the corner building. Great room with view, tea and coffee facilities for free. Good size room. The breakfast was basic but excellent, especially butter croissant. Metro is... More

What a terrible hotel. We stayed with our 10 year old daughter and had booked a tripple room. On the hotel website, the pictures of the rooms were very nice, with one double bed and a real single bed. Pictures showed a new renovated room, which was also described in the text. Pictures are attached of the opposite. When we... More

Madam, I find your note and your comment very severe and your judgement partial. I explane what is happened : You have made an error by proceeding to the reservation. You reserved a room standart instead of the superior Triple room Triple (the one that you saw in photo on the Web site of the hotel). However, even if the... More

We use to stay at Claude Bernard Hotel in Paris every year for five years now. It's location is great, the rooms are big relatively to rooms in other Paris hotels and clean, the staff is extremely helpful, nice and cooperative. Breakfast is good and varied. This year we had a wonderful surprise, there was a Nespresso coffee machine in... More
