We stayed in this hotel as a pre Xmas trip to Paris. The location is brilliant! There are lots of lovely bars and restaurant in the neighborhood. The hotel is small and simple. The man behind the reception was friendly and helpful. You can rent bikes right in front of the hotel which is very handy. Also the metro station... More

Stayed eight nights over Christmas. Pro's: Great location, walking distance to many great places. Nice view with 2 balconies, clean room with three beds, good size bathroom with bathtub. Breakfast adequate with croissants, cereal, yogurt, cheese. Very good coffee. Nice lobby sitting area. Disappointment: very sterile room, not much Parisian charm, room located on the 6th floor and we had... More

I know what to expect in Paris if you want to pay around 200 Euro a night: a small room, few frills, and hopefully a clean place. My goal is location, and that's why I picked the Hotel Claude Bernard, which is an easy walk to all my Paris favorites and looks (from the website) to be a fine choice.... More

Nightmare driving to this area from outside of Paris but once in the area it wasn't too far to find parking and after that the rest of Paris us within walking distance. We walked to the Louvre, the tower and passed hundreds of restaurants. The hotel itself has a great lobby for hanging out. Wifi worked well in our rooms.... More

My husband and I stayed in the Hotel Claude Bernard for three nights at the end of October. We loved where the hotel was situated and we enjoyed a small, but clean, and charming room with a balcony. The people at the front desk were very helpful and we appreciated starting our days with the very adequate breakfast. We found... More

I can't explain how pleased my family and I were to stay here! It was the easiest place to get to, with so many bistros, pastry shops, restaurants, grocery stores and Crépe/Sandwich nooks everywhere! To start, when you stay here you are a short walk to Luxembourg Palace, Notre Dame, Palaise de Justice, Seine, Pantheon, and the Louvre is just... More

I was travelling alone but got what appeared to be a family room. Nespresso coffee maker in the room and lots of space - very unlike other paris hotel rooms. Price was good (for paris) and very close to many attractions. I walked to Notre Dame, Louvre, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe and back... More

I stayed here June 6 and 7th 2014. Best location of all hotels I have stayed at so far. Front desk staff super friendly. Room was spotless. Wifi was fast, bed comfortable. Bathroom was VERY small but it's Paris and I am never in the room so it didn't bother me at all. Air conditioning worked perfectly. It has a... More

Victim of overbooking, I was sent via taxi to another hotel, way cheaper and with only 2 stars... And they made me pay the same price! Although the price of the rooms in this hotel are almost twice cheaper.

Dear Sir, It is not a surbooking. You have booked a room with Amadeus The credit card was not valid. And impossible to contact you to inform you that the card is not valid (no phone, no email,...) So, we could not secure a room for you. So your comment and your note is a vengeance and not very right... More

Good choice. Nice little hotel extremely well located. RER B in Saint Michel takes you straight to Charles De Gaule airport. Plenty of shops and restaurants open late. Rooms are small but comfy. I had a single room which was really spacious, room 61. The elevator was tiny but useful to take luggage to the 6th floor. Breakfast is basic... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
